MgoApp?

Submitted by umaz1 on

Will there be a new app for the new site? The old one does not appear to support this. I tried both  Android and Apple.

There will be, as they announced last year, but I'm sure it's still being worked on. The site was the primary job. Patience, young padawan.

Is it possible for them to keep the old app running? I am not competent with computers so I have no idea if this is even possible but I much prefer using the app to going to a website on my phone.

This is disappointing.  The app gave me access to mgoboard comments only with a minimal interface where the screen was not filled up with user avatars , point counts, and graphics to vote up and down. On my phone (Which on the toilet is where I consume 90% of my mgoblog) I can see max 5 comments at a time using desktop view.

<p>

If someone can explain how to improve ui on android for mgoboard please post.

Whether we ever get an app again (and I hope we do, despite what was written on the main page), I hope the board eventually returns to its ''sidebar" position on our phones.  I do at least 90% of my MGoReading and posting on my phone and usually had two pages open at a time: one on the app for quick and easy posting and one on the website to make it easier to see when new topics were posted.

I’m hoping for a future app. The mobile website seems to be fine, but I rarely ever use it on my phone. I had the app on the front of my phone and checked it multiple times a day. Im sure I will visit much less and would guess there are others that will do the same. I’m sure it is a cost that they deemed unnecessary at this point and I get that, but I bet not having an app will result in fewer visits and clicks.
