OT: NBA All Star game open thread
Well this is a rather "different" way of introducing the players. And soon you will get to the NBA like it used to be back in the 70's and early 80's when defense was something not exactly shall we say....embraced.
Let the game begin.

Bennett is playing a lot better, will continue to play that way this year. With an offseason to get in shape and not be a rookie I expect him to be a lot better.

I'll never understand the Bennett selection. When the Pistons were slated to select him in mock drafts it was akin to heading to the Olympics and heading home with a Copper medal; I wouldn't have the slightest idea of what to do with my prize.
The fact that he was out of shape as an incoming rookie without nursing an injury that I'm aware of (which, would surprise me even more that the Cavs took that gamble on a recovering player) makes him much less sympathetic and a lot harder to root for. The pre-draft process featured his first and possibly his last but definitely the biggest job interviews he'll ever go through, and he didn't take the it seriously enough.

I agree with part of what you said. Tristan is a typical power forward and Bennett is a stretch four. I would have rather they draft Oladipo but I'm not sure how he would have fit either.
It was just a bad year to have #1.

Sorry, should have put that in my other response.

Absolutely agree that the celebrity junk is unnecessary. It just adds insult to injury when your preferred player isn't named to the All Star roster or dunk contest or three point competition or whatever...and then you see Frankie Muniz and Justin Bieber crossing over Snoop Dogg. Ridiculous.
