Always some asshole to make a petty remark like this when Webber is brought up.
February 15th, 2014 at 2:53 AM ^
My dad and I, after my high school team was eliminated from bball playoffs, would go and travel to watch Country Day his junior and senior year. Always rooted for him. Even thought Pistons could win a ring for him.
But c'mon, ever since his well publicized line about couldn't even afford a hamburger as a broke student while his jersey was selling for $50, he deserves these little digs. If you're taking money and even if you think you deserve them, for playing college bball, don't publicly complain of how broke you are.
February 15th, 2014 at 2:54 PM ^
There is no distinct timeline for when the money was delivered nor do we have good reason to even trust the feds on the exact figure. We also don't know how much he saw and what his parents did.
Many forget that Webber had a very long contract holdout that actually went into November (back when rookies could negotiate instead of sign on a scale). Many have speculated that most of Martin's money found him in between the time he declared in April of that year and when he actually started getting NBA checks, signing bonus, etc. "Can't afford a burger" is certainly possible.

Cmon now, those are some homer glasses you have on there.
So if I'm reading this correctly, you're saying a guy who went number 1 in the draft had no other avenues to get money than a M booster? You do realize we're talking about the NBA here, where endorsement money is everywhere, right?

Does anyone other than 12 year olds watch that?

And mostly all rookies. I like them to win it. Of course gotta love the Michigan love.

Webbers team is stacked.

I remember when the NBA was actually fun to watch.

C-Webb with a "Go Blue"
February 14th, 2014 at 9:49 PM ^
I like this extension of the Michigan-Duke rivalry.
February 14th, 2014 at 9:48 PM ^
Did CWebb just say Go Blue?
February 14th, 2014 at 9:50 PM ^
Seems a little tight out there. THJ is looking good so far.

Leave it to a Plumlee to screw up the mojo
February 14th, 2014 at 11:22 PM ^
THjr was on fire from three. went at it with waiters one on one for a bit. THjr was the purer shooter but Waiters shook him a few times off the dribble.
If THjr can work on the D the sky is the limit for him...
February 14th, 2014 at 11:26 PM ^
he was a monster in that game. If he can improve his FT shooting and develop post game, sky is the limit for Dre. He could be one of the best C in the league when all is said and done.
February 14th, 2014 at 11:37 PM ^
He is an incredible talent. Wish they had a passing PG to get him more easy chances. MCW or Trey would have really helped him. MCW would have been amazing with his ability to see over the defense. Especially in the pick and roll
February 14th, 2014 at 11:28 PM ^
So cool to see hardaway play like that. Too bad Burke looked a bit nervous with his shot but had some good drives. Just a lot of fun to see these guys doing well.

A few pretty hilarious moments.
In GIF form.
Timmy pretending to untie Drummond's shoes a la JR Smith.
