Monday Night Reunion

Submitted by Double Nickel BG on
Henne,Long, Harris, Braylon, Feely all playing tonight. Henne looks good so far. Doesn't hurt when ur running for an asston every play. Is the ref speaking Spanish? Was only 1/2 paying attention so was just wondering.

Was just discussing this with a friend. Funny situation could pan out, Long blocks for Henne so he can throw it to Ginn who then gets taken down by Gholston

Huh, Tirico, who lives in AA, always seems fair to Michigan..what did he do this game? I didn't get to see it, I was at the game, and it got deleted accidentally off my dvr when I got back. (Though I had drinks with him and various other media types at the bar down there...he seemed liked a good guy).

This is the weirdest situation imaginable. Edwards, who was probably the best wideout Henne ever threw to, scoring TDs against his team..

from Henne. Frickin' buckeye's. Nice to see Braylon get the TD after all his recent troubles. Wish he wasn't getting all this negative pub. (whether it is his fault or not).

I'm impressed by the new kid, Dan Henne, the Dolphin's have at QB. Jaws keeps raving about his skills. Strangely enough, his rugged visage seems remarkably familiar. Did he perchance have a brother or a cousin that played for Michigan? Seriously though, I'm curious when some producer is going to smack Jaworski upside the head.

Pretty annoying how obsessed announcers are with Sanchez...Henne getting comparatively very little chatter. Will be interesting to compare Henne's and Sanchez's stats at the end of the season. I'm betting Henne's are more impressive.

As someone who lives in NYC, Sanchez has received an inordinate amount of buzz considering what he has actually accomplished. People talk about him in the safe breath as guys like Brees, both Mannings, Brady, etc., even though he had one reasonably successful year in college and then didn't crap the bed against 3 of the 4 teams on the schedule so far. The Jets were 9-7 last year with a broken-down Brett Favre, and now they have a very good defensive head coach and a defense that fits what he wants to do. Sanchez has played well for a rookie, but he's no better than Henne or Stafford based on actual field performance (and I would argue a bit behind Stafford given the relative teams).

I'm curious what the Dolphins would look like with a reasonable deep threat. Everytime I see Chad drop back, he looks down field then checks down. Because the NFL is miserably tight with it's camera coverage, it's hard to tell, but his receivers seem to lack the ability to stretch the field or even get open on deep routes. Frankly, I'm surprised the Dolphins didn't go after Braylon.

Exactly, Henne doesn't have any deep threats--and the Dolphins apparently tried to get Braylon last year but somehow the talks broke down, the Browns wanted Ronnie Brown in return plus something or other.

thing. I hate the Ginn thing, but seeing Henne having success makes it worth it. Ginn kind of needed to redeem himself after that pitiful fricking blocking effort on the WR screen.
