Iowa St. getting DESTROYED by WVU
This hurts Michigan's strength of schedule a little. Iowa also lost to Iowa St.
edit: down 93-63 right now...
Beat Ohio

Do you still play TSB?

I do.

Not worried about it, Beat Ohio!

In before...

And FSU about to lose at home against Miami. Not great. Just beat Ohio.

If we can't learn to play D our SOS isn't going to matter much
February 10th, 2014 at 9:22 PM ^
Wow. And we complain about OUR defense sometimes...

In this era, just take it as a lesson that big losses can happen seemingly out of nowhere in college hoops. But also moments of sublime play. Just one reason it's so damn fun to watch.

I think that's why this post should remain up and serve as a salient lesson to the rest of the board. One week, Iowa State can look great. The next, they lose by 30-something to a mediocre West Virginia team. It's college basketball, sometimes teams don't play well.

Our strength of schedule is 8th in the country per RealTimeRPI, and we're about to play Ohio, Wisconsin and MSU. We're fine.

OT: Pistons beat Spurs. Loyer gets first win and first signature win.

I thought that was a really impressive win. This team really is coming around; sad that Cheeks had to go during it, but stuff happens.

Can the Pistons please tank the season already ? Getting swepted in the first round isnt helping anybody.

The six seed is very obtainable my friend. As long as we are not playing the Heat or Pacers we won't be swept.

Upvoted for "swepted"

The only signature win in the NBA is your fourth in the championship best of 7.

I'm not worried about SOS. Team beat MSU, Wiscy on the road, Iowa at home, and embark on a big stretch now. This team is in the tourney, and how they play the rest of the conference slate has far more of an impact than who they beat or lost to in 2013.

I don't know who is good at college basketball this year. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the year the Shockers or Aztecs win it all. I like how all of my MSU friends are talking shit about Michigan after we beat their crown jewel basketball program in their own house.
February 10th, 2014 at 10:08 PM ^
If the Shockers or Aztecs win it all i will give you my truck. I would be my life against them.

do you plan on giving away other possessions too?
First dibs!

All the KU fans around here were all pissed off at Michigan last year after we beat them in the tournament. They said we had the refs in our pocket! Sure!

As a minor reminder, it is in that gray area per the FAQ, so it likely won't face deletion no matter how random it may appear. This is also information about a now past opponent, so there is that as well.
In any case, WVU simply outshot Iowa State by a wide margin and took care of the ball much better than they Cyclones. Iowa State, on the other hand, had a far better offensive rebound percentage and got to the line a little more, so from a stats standpoint, it wasn't a complete disaster for them, but yeah, they were pretty cold comparatively.
