Iowa St. getting DESTROYED by WVU

This hurts Michigan's strength of schedule a little.  Iowa also lost to Iowa St.

edit: down 93-63 right now...

In this era, just take it as a lesson that big losses can happen seemingly out of nowhere in college hoops. But also moments of sublime play. Just one reason it's so damn fun to watch.

I think that's why this post should remain up and serve as a salient lesson to the rest of the board. One week, Iowa State can look great. The next, they lose by 30-something to a mediocre West Virginia team. It's college basketball, sometimes teams don't play well.

I'm not worried about SOS.  Team beat MSU, Wiscy on the road, Iowa at home, and embark on a big stretch now.  This team is in the tourney, and how they play the rest of the conference slate has far more of an impact than who they beat or lost to in 2013.

I don't know who is good at college basketball this year. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the year the Shockers or Aztecs win it all. I like how all of my MSU friends are talking shit about Michigan after we beat their crown jewel basketball program in their own house.

All the KU fans around here were all pissed off at Michigan last year after we beat them in the tournament. They said we had the refs in our pocket! Sure!

As a minor reminder, it is in that gray area per the FAQ, so it likely won't face deletion no matter how random it may appear. This is also information about a now past opponent, so there is that as well.

In any case, WVU simply outshot Iowa State by a wide margin and took care of the ball much better than they Cyclones. Iowa State, on the other hand, had a far better offensive rebound percentage and got to the line a little more, so from a stats standpoint, it wasn't a complete disaster for them, but yeah, they were pretty cold comparatively.
