Mudbowl playoffs today
If by chance anyone's in the Ann Arbor area and feels like watching Michigan greeks beat each other up, play flag football, play a blood sport that vaguely resembles football (to benefit Mott Children's
Hospital and the M Stars for the Make a Wish Foundation), the tournament starts at 1 at Father Gabriel Richard High School (4333 Whitehall Dr.) Winners play in the actual mudbowl the morning of the PSU game.

for those who dont know: its 2 hand touch on the ball carrier, thats it, free-for-all everywhere else (ie. no holding, PI), with wrestling and general aggressiveness encouraged

Literally everyone in the IFC or Panhel who has a big enough house... so 13 sororities and 16 fraternities. There's enough field space for 6 games per round, and rounds start every hour 1-6 today. There's no goalposts, so it's 6pt TDs and the offense's choice of going for either a 1 or 2pt conversion following.

there are two tourneys, one for the IFC fraternities, and one for the Pan-Hel sororities i believe...meaning all the fraternities and sororities on campus, minus the multicultural and educational ones (b-school frats)

I think today's Phi Psi v. Sammy, and Theta Chi vs someone else...I haven't looked at the seeds, I just know that SAE is the #1 seed, Phi Psi's the #2, and Theta's #3.

Does Phi Psi still give out bids to any kid who comes through their house?
Talk about a sh*t house that inherited the goose that crapped golden eggs when Sigma Chi and Beta got kicked off campus.

Speaking as someone who played in Mudbowl twice, I am a bit perturbed that the game has changed. It was always SAE versus Phi Delts in our own nice little war. It truly was something we looked forward to all year, and yes the rules were basically anything goes, it was violent as all hell.
Still if its for charity, I cant complain, hopefully the old game is still played on homecoming as it was for many years previously...
I guess I would know if I actually got to homecoming in time to check it out this year, oh well maybe next year...
