There really is no coming back from it. I appreciate the time and effort, but this one starts off like something That would give 90% of Ohio fans a boner...

Honestly, my first reaction to this video was "how much worse could it get?" There's no way this team shouldn't win 9-10 games this year. With Borges gone and another year of off-season training for the young guys, I fully expect this team to reach its potential and play the way they should've done in 2013. Go Blue!

I would love a 9-10 win year.  We do have a lot of potential losses though (@ND, @MSU, @OSU) not to mention a couple of potentiall rough games at home.  This whole season hinges on if the OL can get any better while losing two NFL tackles.  IF the line gets to average, I see about 9 wins.  But I think that's a fairly large if.

I will say is this video might have been the hardest video to put together only because as some have mentioned its very tough to watch but its the painful truth.. One of the main reasons I put this together was in hope that the team does somehow see this video and uses it as motivation.

Beautifully done, but I didn't  care for it beause of the tone. We were 7-6, not 3-9. We were all somewhat disappointed, but it wasn't the unmitigated disaster we're left with here.

In the broad sense, I agree a program with the history and resources of Michigan should definitely be better than 7-6. But when you look at 2013 and it's place in our program and roster rebuild that started in 2010, 7-6 isn't shocking. Anyone thinking we should have been a bonafide B1G contender either didn't know or forget where we are in this process.

There was only one game we weren't close to winning. How about a just out of reach theme?

I understand that this is to give the next team motivation, and i hope we do come out of the gate HUNGRY! Because as a fan i am hungry, it was a good meal last season for michigan basketball but i still want my main course... and YEs i agree it is COMPLETELY unacceptable to go 7-6 its the same as 3-9 in my book. Go blue

but believe me--3-9 IS a disaster. 7-6 just makes us irrelevant. Not only that, but even those of us who defended Borges know that the team could have had several more wins with personnel used properly.

I liked it and tweeted the link. Sometimes the truth hurts. I really hope Team 135 uses these moments as motivation. I'm certain Devin Gardner will!

Great work as always Luke, but I agree with some of the comments, the first "knock down" part was so long that it was hard to recover and get excited.

I'd recommend shortening it and somehow adding a few more historical clips to show where Michigan has been and where they need to return. Or just great players of the past. I only say this because I think you use the highlights of last year all in the last 20 seconds of the video.

Minor gripe: the soundtrack you used from Inception was meant to be a happy ending song.  Maybe should have used the song from Batman Begins that plays when Bruce falls into the well and his dad goes and rescues him... "Why do we fall Bruce?  So we can learn to pick ourselves back up."

I disagree with folks who think the knock down part was too long.  You captured what the season was like.  You did not advertise this as a hype video.  It left me remembering how tough this past season was.  With our new OC I am confident that we will be a much better team next fall.

Your "Can't Hold Us We On" video needs to be bought by the athletic department and archived forever. This video isn't at that level, though I really liked most of the sound clips and video clips.

Key Play

February 2nd, 2014 at 11:26 AM ^

Though painful, this really does encapsulate this past season.   I will throw out one more cliche: The inches we need are all around us. How many of those plays are one second too late or one inch too short.  We push through these failures and we will get that extra inch to make those great Michigan plays.  If Woodson has one less inch he misses that interception. If Denard is one step too slow he gets tackled on most of those runs.  With the parity of modern college football, you can improve enough to go from 3-9 to national championship game.   We just gotta see how we measure up this season.

Watching overdramatic videos with themes like "When you're on, you're on" and "Rise up" is becoming an offseason tradition for the football team. I'm so sick of it. Been doing it since 2009.
