Per basketball-reference.com, Terry only attempted four three-pointers while at UM, hitting none.  Mgoblue's statistics archive does not include his 3pt miss vs Illinois in the Final Four that Higgins rebounded for the winning bucket.  So maybe he was 0-5.

 

Anyway, during his 476 games as a Piston he attempted 2.6 threes per game, hitting 495 of 1258 (.393).

It would be like McGary (currently 0-2 on threes) becoming an outside shooter in the pros.

Michael carter-Williams is almost a sure thing for ROY, and oladipo is close along with trey. Trey has been great, but he missed the first month of the season due to a hand problem and still hasn't been quite as impressive as MCW. Hardaway will finish between 4-6, as milwaukees "Greek freak" (I have no idea how to spell his name) and Atlantas Pedro antic have both had strong seasons

thrilled for him. i was lukewarm on his pro prospects, but he is having a fantastic year.

i really admired his leadership at michigan. trey sort of took the spotlight and rather than pouting he did everything to help the team. 

i really think his junior year was the difference between having a killer rookie season and spending time in the nbdl.

hope certain current wolverines are taking note.

It's funny, my dad and I had a few discussions throughout the tourney last year about hardaway. He thought thj would either come back or be a second round pick who never amounted to anything in nba, but for some reason I had and still have the feeling hell have a good prosperous career and may even blossom into a better nba player than he was a college player.

Yes, I'm surprised how well he is doing. Granted, he is playing in the East against bad competition, but it's still NBA competition, and he's showing (as a rookie) he belongs. Impressive.

On a side note: WTF Anthony Bennett?! Here's his stat line:
1-6 FG, 2-4 FT, 2 REB, 1 AST and 1 TO and 3 PF in 23 minutes.
- Those 4 points are HIGHER than his 2.8 points a game average.

I know he's the #1 pick overall, but he needs to go the d-league and work on his game and his confidence. Immediately.

Despite his recent 15 point "outburst" in garbage time of the Knicks game the other night Bennett's stats have actually gotten WORSE since I made the post claiming him to be the worst #1 pick in the history of sports.

Interestingly enough the boys on PTI were debating whether Bennett was the worst NBA #1 pick recently so his absolute lack of any sort of talent, drive, dedication and overall basketball skills are being noticed outside of northern Ohio.

flashes last year of how he could be dominant if his outside shot was falling.  He just couldn't seem to get it working consistently. Plus,  with the defense having to gravitate to Melo, he doesn't draw quite as much defenisve attention in NY.

People saying KCP is a terrible pick needs to stop since he's a rookie who is the #5 option on the team with Jennings and Smith hogging the ball. Throw in Moose and Drummond.  It's a wonder why KCP does not get any chances to shoot the ball.

If I'm Mo Cheeks, I would make Moose and Drummond my #1 focus with Jennings and KCP as my secondary scoring option and have Josh Smith not shoot the ball much unless it's an wide open 3 or layup/dunk.  But since I'm not, Jennings and Smith are pulling the offense down with bad shot selections.

Hardaway's 29 points is actually tied for the biggest contribution to the Knicks' offense this evening, scoring more or less a quarter of all their points. This also comes with 3 defensive rebounds, 1 assist, and making the sole free throw he had to make. Yet again, it's great to see Wolverines contributing significantly at the next level.

HardawayJr/Carmelo have almost identical FG%/FT%/3PT% over the course of the season. They are both around 45%/85%/42% ... pretty good work Timmy.

Good for Timmy and for U-M. I'm really surprised to see him do so well. This won't be popular, but I think our team would be worse this season if Timmy stayed for his senior year. His rates are good right now in NY, but he seems like the type of guy who can put up numbers as the first option on a bad team. But he'd hurt the efficiency and rhythm of a well-disciplined, good team.
