Tom Izzo and Injuries

Nov. 8th:  Tom Izzo dicusses how Travis Trice's injuries slowed his progession.

Dec. 9th:  Izzo laments how Appling, Payne, and Costello are out after game against UNC.

Dec. 14th:  Izzo states that he cannot afford to go too hard at practice due to injuries. 

Dec. 18th:  Izzo states that the injuries are becoming frustrating for coaches, players, and fans. 

Dec. 19th:  Izzo discusses the effect of his teams injuries with Tim Brando.

Jan. 7th:  Izzo praises Appling and Payne for their ability to fight through injuries.

Jan. 10th:  Izzo discusses injuries with Adam Ruff of Spartan Radio.

Jan. 13th:  Izzo says that his team is "beat up," with several players battling injuries.

Jan 16th:  Izzo states that this has been his most trying season as a head coach due to injuries.

Jan 17th: Izzo claims that this has been his "hardest" year due to injuries.

Jan. 20th:  Izzo states "I'm proud of what we've done but it's been taxing on everyone" due to injuries.

Jan 21st:  Izzo remarks:  "The problem when you have all these injuries, you start playing some guys to death."

Jan 21st:  Izzo states: "I don't even ask about injuries anymore."

Jan 21st:  Izzo, on playing 11 players: "It's a neccesity, especailly with foul trouble and injuries."

Meanwhile, we lose our 1st-team preseason All-American and have Stauskas beat up in the early going. Not one word from Beilein. Go Blue.

Yes! Thank you OP. I had been thinking the same thing the whole time with all the talk about Izzo's injuries and I never heard Beilein say word one about losing our pre-season all american all year

Hell yea love this post grantham! All izzo seems to always do is make sorry ass excuses about his team. Coach B is the man and is the coach I would want over anyone!!

I'm dying over the sheer number of posts and some of the responses. The joke about wanting to know Hoek's position on bitching and talking was the best laugh I've had all week.

I guess Dan Dakich was referring to Izzo when he was mentioning how there are some coachs who bitch about every injury and that there are those like Beilein who lose a first team all American and don't even want to mention it.
