Just a friendly reminder because I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere in the Detroit media:
Single game tickets for the Lions game against the Falcons in London are on sale now.

These games are usually sold out rather quickly. They are a good chance for us Europeans to see football in person without having to fly to the US. Last Lions game I watched was in 2007, so I'm really looking forward to it.

so they're trying to find a new and naive audience. . .

Thank you. I totally agree. They are a NFL team, and are not predestined to lose forever. It's not like they were terrible this year either, they won 7 games, including 4 in the division. They have talent and were extremely fun to watch this year despite the finish (does everyone forget the end of the Cowboys game?).

The Lions have had
13 winning seasons
5 seasons of double digit wins
10 playoff appearances
3 division titles
1 playoff win
So forgive Lions fans for assuming the team will be awful until he sells it.

No, the cool thing to do is to buy yourself a new Ferrari when you feelin' blue. I have six.

...that the Lions & Cowboys teed it up in 1993 at Wembley Stadium (until I saw the post on the Lions' FB page).
If I remember that game, it actually ended up in a tie. Gee...way to differentiate yourself from Euro football, guys. ;-)

FWIW - I'm a Giants fan, but watch the Lions whenever they're on TV. They're a legitimately fun team and enjoyable to watch, regardless of whether they win or lose, because they have some nasty weapons on offense. Obviously, I understand you guys would love to see more winning, but many fan bases out there would be VERY happy to have Megatron and Bush running free in a wide-open offense...

because we HAVE Megaron and Bush running free in a wide open offense and we continually shoot ourselves in the foot and make it worth nothing more than the same old lie-downs.

Ever hear of a guy named Barry Sanders?
Detroit fans are sick of losing. We don't want exciting players, we want a winning team. I'd trade Calvin Johnson if it helped the team win. That trade doesn't exist, but if you gave the fans a choice between Calvin Johnson and a division title, you know what they would pick.
I would give my left testicle to have 2 rings like the Giants. It doesn't mean shit that we have Calvin Johnson and you have a Qb who wouldn't look out of place selling used Honda's.
