Go panthers
January 12th, 2014 at 2:12 PM ^
Why wasn't that a first down?
January 12th, 2014 at 2:14 PM ^
49ers are lucky to have 6 points. The first field goal was the direct result of an atrocious uncessary roughness penalty while the ball was still in the air and had been tipped.
January 12th, 2014 at 2:18 PM ^
That's some nice goal line defense from San Francisco - big difference between 10-6 and 14-6 obviously. As a side note, Cam Newton is vehicle behind 176 of Carolina's 195 yards so far, air and ground. San Francisco, incidentally, has taken 24 plays to get 67 yards before this coming drive.
For the late game - if you consider 4:40 PM late - Massey has Denver with a 75% projected win probability.
January 12th, 2014 at 2:21 PM ^
I was in awe of NE's rushing attack against the Colts, Brady threw just enough to move the chains, but they rode two RBs for 75% of their offensive production.
January 12th, 2014 at 2:27 PM ^
Not sure that was so much of NE having a strong running game, but rather Indy having an awful defense.
January 12th, 2014 at 2:26 PM ^
At some point the refs are going to have to throw a flag on the 49ers. Boldin and Kaepernick have been yapping all game and getting away with it. Refs are suppose to call it both ways and thus far they most definitely are not.
January 12th, 2014 at 2:29 PM ^
Riveria needs to get in the ear of the refs about Boldin. Next word he says should be 15 yards.
January 12th, 2014 at 2:30 PM ^
So apparently head-butting can only be called on the panthers today?
January 12th, 2014 at 2:32 PM ^
Wow! 49ers getting every call. Boldin acting like a tool again. The refs have to call him for taunting. This is a joke.
January 12th, 2014 at 2:33 PM ^
Right call. His second foot was clearly out of bounds. That call better not be changed.
January 12th, 2014 at 2:34 PM ^
Wrong
January 12th, 2014 at 2:35 PM ^
He slides the second foot before it goes out if bounds. This is a TD
January 12th, 2014 at 2:33 PM ^
The best part of that is hot head Bolden comes out to calm down Harabaugh
January 12th, 2014 at 2:34 PM ^
Jim Harbaugh pulling his best Tom Crean, seriously Jim get ahold of yourself.
January 12th, 2014 at 2:34 PM ^
No kidding
January 12th, 2014 at 2:37 PM ^
Agreed - Crean is a good comparison. Really looked like an ass but I kind of like the passion
January 12th, 2014 at 2:36 PM ^
Vernon Davis does work in the playoffs
January 12th, 2014 at 2:36 PM ^
Boldin gets away with jawing the entire drive and they get a TD. This needs to be the last post season game for this group of officials.
January 12th, 2014 at 2:37 PM ^
I can't wait for the half time interview with Harbaugh!
January 12th, 2014 at 3:01 PM ^
So the refs also missed 12 men in the huddle on SF on the TD. Refs handing this game to the 49ers. Disgraceful.
January 12th, 2014 at 3:04 PM ^
Why is Kapernick mocking the other team's QB? Seems unnecessarily incendiary.
January 12th, 2014 at 3:07 PM ^
The 49ers have spent this entire game taunting and yet the only call that was made went against Carolina. The 49ers are getting the kind off. To get this many calls it usually requires home field and a star QB. The 49ers have neither.
January 12th, 2014 at 3:22 PM ^
Mocking other players is pretty much par for the course with him. He's always been a douche.
January 12th, 2014 at 4:34 PM ^
All teams take on the character and personality of their head coach.
January 12th, 2014 at 3:26 PM ^
I'm sort of surprised to see so much hatred for the 49ers. I thought people in general liked that team. Apparently I was mistaken haha.
January 12th, 2014 at 3:31 PM ^
It's mostly due to all of their antics after the whistle. I love their offense and their stout defense. Kaepernick is a serios dildo though and he seems to have rubbed off on a lot of his teammates.
January 12th, 2014 at 3:32 PM ^
Harbaugh, despite hime being a Michigan guy, in my opinion has always been hard to like. Boldin is constantly yapping. Most people hate players like that. Especially when the refs refuse to shut him up.
And then you have Aldon Smith, the one man crime wave who is facing at least I believe an 8 game suspension.
Kind of hard to like a team like that.
January 12th, 2014 at 3:29 PM ^
49ers are quickly becoming one of the most disliked teams in the league because Harbaugh, kapernick, Boldin and Aldon Smith. They do way to much talking and seem to consistently get way to many calls.
It will be nice watching Seattle hammer them next week.
January 12th, 2014 at 3:33 PM ^
Sounds a lot like Seattle
January 12th, 2014 at 3:35 PM ^
I know Sherman loves to talk, but Boldin is on another level entirely.
January 12th, 2014 at 3:39 PM ^
Uhh Seattle was the most penalized team in the league this year. I'd be very interested to see how many penalties they have when they weren't getting those calls then.
January 12th, 2014 at 4:16 PM ^
I don't mind the 49ers at all. I like a little chippy football. They are much more enjoyable to watch then teams like the Packers who complain to the refs the whole game.
January 12th, 2014 at 5:12 PM ^
Your post have been all kinds of fail today. Kaepernick doesn't talk at all but you make the judgement because of his celebration I bet. Boldin I agree needs to cool it, he was frustrating me today. Aldon rarely talks he just gets chippy when he's being chipped at. For Harbaugh the NFL needs more coaches like him and his actions are a showing of his competitiveness.
Where is the consistent calls? I can assure you that they don't get favorable calls, rewatch the game from last week. Watch all games in Seattle for the last 3 seasons and watch next week. It's like playing any sport against Wisconsin.
January 12th, 2014 at 5:52 PM ^
The only way Jim Harbaugh is good for the NFL is in the way people argue the Miami Heat are good for the NBA and that is as a vilain. This is a Michigan blog and the majority of the opinions that I have seen expressed on hear over the last few years are decidely anti-Harbaugh. So just imagine what the general public's opinion of him must be.
Oh and Kaepernick does talk and was doing it today. For you to say the doesn't is a flat out lie. You can't argue with game footage.
January 12th, 2014 at 3:46 PM ^
So they take forever to snap the ball and then run it up the gut. Guess Carolina has no interest in playing next week.
January 12th, 2014 at 3:48 PM ^
Cam Newton is an overrated joke. Fuck the 49ers
January 12th, 2014 at 3:48 PM ^
Well thats the end of this game
January 12th, 2014 at 4:55 PM ^
Manning lucked out with warm weather. They look to be on their game
January 12th, 2014 at 5:26 PM ^
I'm not sure they made the right call on that fumble.
January 12th, 2014 at 5:33 PM ^
Whiz calling a conservative game so far.
January 12th, 2014 at 5:37 PM ^
Peyton is gutting them with that Omaha call. Offsides all over the place.
January 12th, 2014 at 5:40 PM ^
Speaking of "Omaha", has anyone figured out what that means?
January 12th, 2014 at 6:31 PM ^
Helpful announcer is helpful.
January 12th, 2014 at 5:51 PM ^
Surprisingly impressive showing by the Denver D.
January 12th, 2014 at 6:00 PM ^
What a pick.
January 12th, 2014 at 6:40 PM ^
This is who the lions want to hire? Hs offense is maybe one step up from a Borges offense. Who am I kidding? He would fit perfectly in Detroit.
January 12th, 2014 at 7:34 PM ^
Denver D is getting pressure but can't cover
January 12th, 2014 at 7:58 PM ^
Jimmy H vs. Stinky Pete and in the main event Touchdown Tommy Brady vs. Peyton
January 12th, 2014 at 8:16 PM ^
And they can be put into college football context: Michigan (or Stanford) vs USC, and Michigan vs. Tennessee. I'm rooting for a Patriots-49ers matchup.
