Why? Because they lost to a good Auburn team on the road with a fluke missed field goal for a touchdown with no time remaining? Yes, clearly they have been dethroned as the best program in the country. Also, I'm not talking particularly about this year's team. Alabama is the number one PROGRAM in the country by a long shot. I only responded the way I did because you seem to think that just because they lost a game with a fluky play that they are not the best anymore. Well, they are.

Interestingly, Alabama has given up slightly more than half of its average yards allowed per game in just this quarter. Oklahoma, compared to other teams, is sort of having their way with the defense here at about seven yards per snap on average. That's subpar defense by normal Alabama standards.
