OT - Need a good laugh?

Submitted by canzior on

I was lounging around the house, in a market for a new tv, so naturally I was interested to see what the most expensive TV's were that are on the market.  I came across an 85-inch Samsung, which is on sale for $39k.  I was curious to see who had actually purchased the tv and what they had to say.  Me and my gf spent 15 minutes laughing at the first 2 reviews on the tv.  If you need a laugh, check it out, certainly worth the time.

Best one....

It makes those abused animal commercials with the sarah mclachlan music playing so much sadder when the one-eyed pug is 4 feet tall

"I purchased this for my Atari 2600 and wow did it make a difference! Also, I am very thankful that it has low energy costs as I am on a very tight budget."

I laughed pretty hard at this, still having a working Colecovision in the basement and everything. I suppose I have an excuse to hook it up once again. Donkey Kong would look awesome on this TV probably.

Along these lines, I also suggest looking on Amazon for the reviews of a book called "How To Avoid Huge Ships". The reviews of that will have you in stitches most likely.

couldn't wait to show wife and play like I was serious about buying it, telling her "look hun the batteries are free as well as the delivery"  and she still loves me, but only because I let her off the hook about buying it.

The climax, after relating a story about buying his wife a miniature Schnauzer for Christmas and having to deal with ingrown hairs in their ears:

Pharmacist "Don't apply aftershave immediately after use......."

Me "Oh, it's not for facial hair removal..."

Pharmacist "In that case if it's chest hair then wear cotton for the first 24 hours......"

Me "No, you misunderstand, it's for my wife's Schnauzer....."

Pharmacist "In that case tell her not to ride a bike for a week......"

Wasn't Rosenberg crushed that his book got such terrible reviews? I thought I had read that somewhere.

I almost feel bad till I remember that he threw the whole program and his Alma Mater under the bus to try to get his big story. Enjoy your 1-star book Mike

I don't get what is so funny.  Every MichiganMan with an MBA like me has one.  You should too if you're worth your diploma.

Now get out there and SPEND!

"I am coming back from the future to write this review, and to let everyone know you can buy this TV for $699 in 2015. It still looks great though."

Exactly, just wait a little while and prices come crashing down.

I have a Sharp 80" TV that cost me $3700 a year ago. It is not the greatest picture, but I got it for the size. Regarding that one on the link, those 4K TVs are ridiculous. Most TV channels are still broadcast in only 720p and fewer in 1080i. That 4K resolution is YEARS away, so there is no point in buying one.

"When I watched Chuck Norris on this TV it cured me of Cancer. It also got my pit bull pregnant (which I thought was a coincidence until all the puppies were born with mullets)."

"It took me 1200 trips to the sperm bank and numerous bandaids from all the scabbing to raise the money for this beast, but boy was it worth it. It was a win win."

"When I found out that Samsung accepted human kidneys as a form of payment I was overjoyed. The price was one and a half kidneys so I told em to keep the change and just take both of them. I'm just out of surgery and the set looks great in the ICU...well from the bed I can see half of it in the nurse's station. Funny...I didn't think you could survive without any kidn  "

"As a side note, this screen really helps me not feel guilty about all those starving children in Africa. On this screen, they look downright obese."

"And no, there is no truth to the rumor that we can watch you while you watch this television. We can't watch anyone through this television. Not even you, John Carlson of New Berlin, Wisconsin, sitting there with your Heineken and beer nuts, watching the Packers pound the Falcons into the frozen ground with your dog, Mr. Chops, age two and a half."
