Michigan gear you got for Christmas?

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

The usual thread posted every year!

I got a 2014 Michigan calendar, a $50 MDen gift card, some adidas socks & boxers, a Maize adidas M knit hat to replace the one I got at my first game back in 2003. Also a $150 VISA gift card which I will buy this beauty with-

Probably my favorite gift is an 8x10 of Shawn Hunwick's final steps off the ice at Yost.

Honorable mention- $30 in gift cards from family for White Castle.

Merry Maize and Blue Christmas!

Does spending the week in Ann Arbor with my sons, both Michigan Alums, and a couple of grandkids, count?   There is enough Michigan gear here to compete with M-Den.

Last year featured a Michigan-heavy set of gifts for me with a few t-shirts, a hat and even a Michigan polo which I wear to work on occasion. This year, I managed to land a Michigan hoodie - actually the first new hoodie I have had in ages, so that will get quite a bit of wear in this weather, I am sure. Like the OP, I also got an MDen gift card because, to paraphrase my wife, the store exists in our bedroom closet.

4 tickets to the game against Holy Cross. We are only in country for two weeks so I am fired up to see a game and check out the new Crisler.

We also bought the kids t-shirts for the game and maize and blue socks. I'll make a M Den run with some of the cash I picked up. Not sure what I will get but I'm definitely picking up a shirt for my driver in China. I have to spread the love to new places!

Got a game program and a ticket from the 1936 game against Penn, which is extra cool for me (I went there for grad school after undergrad at U of M). A pretty awesome job by the wife this year.

I got the Hail, yes! Paper from the day after the 97 rosebowl game with Woodson pointing to the sky framed. I love my soon to be wife!

Somewhere I have the Daily commemorative edition from after the OSU game, signed by just about everyone on that team except Woodson. Should get that framed eventually. Got all of the signatures at the Football Bust.

During dinner, my buddy and I noticed Griese got up to go to the bathroom, and being the enterprising 12 year olds we were, we got up too and waited outside in the hall to get a quick signature. Ended up getting a shoutout in his speech later that night.

...a finished wooden box engraved with the Block M! They wouldn't do it in maize and blue because they were worried about copyright infringement, so they did it in gold.

I had also asked for a Michigan bracelet...kind of like the old 'livestrong' bracelets, but she had a hard time finding them; apparent Michigan only sells huge, thick ones that look like the bar bracelets that let everyone know you're old enough to drink. Don't suppose anyone on the site knows where I could get a normal sized one?

This year my wife went with a UTL1 theme.  She got me an autographed Denard Jersey from the game and an autographed photo.  She also got me a photo signed by Roy Rountree of his game winning catch from the game.  We don't own a home yet, but when we get one this will be a great start to my Michigan Man Cave

My Michigan family sent my boys each a Michigan jersey and a Michigan football. They are 5 and 1. My 3 year old daughter got a Michigan cheerleader outfit.

As a non-drinker, I've always used a Michigan Koozie as a cell phone case. This year I was surprised with a Michigan phone case for my S4. Pretty stoked.

Wife also framed my favorite pick of my 3 kids wearing Michigan gear early in the fall. All 3 were representing and smiling. Will go up in my office!

Also got a new GoRuck bag! Nothing to do with Michigan, but is freaking sweet!
