i'm like a giddy 5 year-old who can't wait to see what santa left under the tree.

only, in reality, i always get on a bad sleep schedule during the holidays and end up in zombie mode on christmas mornings.

That there comes the day your chosen profession has you miling about outside.  That day happens to be about 40F with a steady light rain, you're cold, wet, and miserable.  Salvation arrives in the form of tepid tomato soup and piping hot coffee, choose your poison.  I did, and have been an avid connoiseur of coffee these last 35 years.

Merry Christmas from Tucson ... 100 miles southeast of Tempe, where Meechigan is going to play a good game and send Kansas State back home with a "L" on their schedule!

I had an amazing Michigan hat back in 1988... I wish I knew where it was now...

side note... I had michigan curtains when I was 6 and I have kept them since.  It is great to be a michigan wolverine!

merry christmas brothers and sisters.

Today, I went to my local beer store in Lubbock, TX in search of a few christmas brews.  On a whim, I asked if they had ever gotten Founder's Backwoods Bastard in the past.  The outstanding associate said that they had, and went in the back and found the last one they had in stock.  Thank you sweet baby Santa Jesus for making this the best possible away-from-home Christmas evar.

...but way out in the middle of the high plains of West Texas.  Good luck to you in your quest for BWB.  For what it's worth, this magical experience is worth the 2 or 3 hour drive to Grand Rapids if you do not succeed.  The clock is ticking and I'm sure it won't last much longer.

Merry Christmas, and cheers!

Down some ham, slam some eggnog and cherish time with your family. Enjoy it, you beautiful SOB's. Also, you could watch the NBA, but we all know no one really cares about the NBA.

I too am now finally done putting the toys together, didn't know Monster High school had so many things to put together. And so frickin' small!! However like others have noted, maybe the gin and tonics didn't help....
And you all can see where my priorities are, before I go to bed to rest up for a fantastic day with my family, I needed to check in with my UM family. Although anonymous, this blog has a certain comfort that is like a family. So to all, please have a great holiday season, all be safe, and all find peace.

Thanks so much to all the MgoStaff for all their work and insight. Y'all truly make each week and this brutal season tolerable/enjoyable. Brian, your prose is second to none. Keep up the good work and may the new year bring peace and joy to the MgoCommunity. And aside from everything that happened prior to April 6, the year 2013 can go fuck itself.
