Ironically, his first NFL touchdown was to OSU's Brian Hartline, and it was Hartline's first NFL touchdown as well.

which is even more ironic, I would think.

I have always liked Chad. I think he has the makings of a decent pro QB. Hopefully he can keep it up!
I love seeing former M QB's have success in the NFL.
Go Blue!

As long as his shoulder stays healthy, he might become a franchise QB for Miami, Pennington's about past his sell-by date anyway IMO.

...to improve their pass protection schemes or get some linemen that are better at executing pass protection schemes.
Henne's been sacked 6 times for -29 yards in this contest. This is against Buffalo, who has a middling pass rush at best.
If Miami intends Henne to be their franchise QB they need to step up and fix this fast because the current level of pass protection is putting his shoulder at serious risk, not to mention the elevated risk of concussion that comes with each sack.

Did Henne already sign a bazillion dollar contract with the Dolphins, or could he bolt for more money and a better team soon?

Henne was a 2nd rounder, usually 2nd rounders dont get paid anywhere near the amount 1sts get. I think hes in the 2nd year of a 4 year deal.

Is what Henne signed. I believe it was for $3.5 million or in that neighborhood.

It's good to see Chad finally getting the chance to start some (even if it's only because of injury). Unfortunately he has 2 fumbles, but 0 lost fumbles, so at least he's not turning it over. I hope he can keep it going next week.

though i really don't know the quality of Dolphin receivers.

dolphins receivers pose very little downfield threat.

i love that breaston finally settled that debate.

I've seen him drop a million passes in the NFL. If he had hands, he'd probably be pretty good.

Henne representing the Maize and Blue brigade in the NFL! Gotta love it.

... nails.

Trent Edwards is really getting a raw deal, first they make him deal with TO then they can his OC (also a Stanford alum like him, incidentally). Buffalo continues to be the stepchild of the division.

Just when he was starting to develop as a pretty solid QB, everything just goes down hill for him.
