Early BWW Bowl Predictions

Submitted by Tuebor on

Do you have a score prediction? A stat prediction? Or an obscure play prediction?

Let's hear them. I'll start.

I expect a close game and Matt Wile kicks a field goal to win 31-28.  Michigan is outrushed by 100 yards.  Norfleet finally takes one back.

I'd rather they play a better opponent becuase Michigan seems to play up or down to the competition.  It'll be a close game.  Michigan plays terribly out west.  Michigan probably loses in annoying fashion.  I wish I had reasons to make me feel otherwise.  Still, you can bet your ass I'll be watching and cheering on my team and HOPING for something good.

Punt return at the end of the game to win it.  Tight End actually pitches it to a talented returner nearing the goal line, instead of making an all-time bonehead play and running it the fuck out of bounds.

Michigan will pitch in a performance that leaves all of us fans excited for the future of this program.

Michigan 38, KSU 12.

Braxton Miller goes to the NFL and Ohio keeps Luke Fickel. All is right in the world.

I've been a little confused lately on if it is donut or doughnut.

I have settled on donut is more fun/ kiddie while doughnut is much more sophisticated.

Originally called Buffalo Wild Wings & Weck, from which the abbreviation BW3 was created (the third W was for the beef on weck sandwich), the restaurant became a franchise; as of December 27, 2009, it had 652 locations (232 directly owned by the company, and 420 franchised locations) across 45 U.S. states.

I will order wings that are at least a notch spicier than I can handle and will miss the entire 3rd quarter with an awful case of the hot poops, which damage will be compounded by the lack of quality TP in a venue such as Sun Devil Stadium and the general jostling and commotion of a public crapper.

1. Michigan defeats Holy Cross in basketball by a safe 15 points

2. Michigan wins the GLI championship outside at Comerica over WMU by 2 goals

3. Michigan demolishes KSU in the BWW Bowl by 20 points

4. Goblueram celebrates all of these events and his half-birthday with 20+ beers

borges thinks for the 8th time that he's finally solved the power run game issues and has us plow straight into the line repeatedly despite the fact that it won't work.  michigan is down by 10 at half as a result.  in the second half, he opens it up more, but it's too little too late and we lose a close one.  the calls for his firing intensify, brandon lets him stay.

I don't see why the heck not? It has to work after a month of preperation right? Plus I am like 93.7% sure Kansas State doesn't have tape because Bill Snyder is too old to use a VCR. You know, that super sophisticated techology the young whiper snappers are using nowadays.

Michigan wins by multiple scores, something like 42-21, busting out all sorts of newfangled gadgetry to defeat the mighty Wildcats. Beating a 7-5 team in a bowl game sets expectations high for 2014 (a la Notre Dame 2009 after their breathtaking performance against Hawaii in the 2008 Hawaii Bowl), in which Michigan will proceed to go 8-4.

  • Giant water balloon launched from BWW satellite tackles KSU player going into the endzone as time-expires to ensure overtime game. Bros rejoice in BDubs across the world.
  • Devin Gardner throws 8 interceptions

I think Michigan will roll them.  I will make a daring assumption and say that Borges will call a good game.

After each of our two bye weeks there was a new O-Line the first game back.  I will assume that the starting O-Line will be the same as in the OSU game.  This means that a defined unit with game experience (as a unit) will have the equivalent of a couple of bye weeks to improve.  Hopefully this means that blocking to a better understood scheme will improve.

Gardner will be healthier and has already proven that he is very accurate with time to throw and very good scrambling.

I will venture that other position groups will make the typical week-to-week improvements that we should be seeing throught the year.

I also am a homer and will find a way to convince myself that Michigan will win all of their games no matter the odds.

I think we'll have (relative) success on the ground again and begin to see a clear trend that the OL is improving finally. Gardner will be healthier and more dynamic running the ball, will probably throw for a lot of yards too, but also have INT issues once again.

Defensively, I hope to god we get the safety personnel sorted out, because Furman and Avery is just asking to get gashed in the running game AND passing game by that offense. That said, I like our front seven's unspectacular but disciplined style to stop the run game.

For what seems to be 70% of the posters here - try thinking for yourself and not just running with the sorry ass narrative of "we suck, and will suck, I love being a DB pessimist".

(If) you actually look at this season and take into account what exactly went wrong and contributing factors (hint - not everything was Al's play calling, Brady's no-headphones, or other common themes) you would see that we have  a pretty explosive offense albeit young and still very erratic but getting better.  We also have a pretty good defense for the most part that also is capable of very good performances.

If you are a true fan and not just a "yeah what the mods think" guy - then you would look at this game and be optimistic.  Gardner will be more consistant.  O-line will have time over the next few weeks to really fine-tune and put in a good performance, defense is not facing the OSU combo and will play an above season average statistically.  Michigan should win this game by 10.

BTW - hearing that players are happy with the BWW connnections because they do like their food .  Sorry that all of the highly developed pallets on the board feel this establishiment and the Bowl are beneath them.

With Gardner fully healthy for the first time in forever, Michigan's offense plays very well against a mediocre defense that we can sort of run on.  Meanwhile, Michigan's defense gets gashed on the ground a bit and gives up a long TD or two, but does enough to win.  Michigan, 37-27.

Three straight end-arounds to start the game.   They'll never see it coming.  The second of three will be a double reverse, Gallon to Norfleet.  Book it.
