Kansas State is headed to the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl, where it will play Michigan, according to a source.

This from a K State reporter.  Essentially we still know nothing!

Yeah, MAndel retweeting and confirming. IT is pretty much KSU - Michigan now.

I think this is official because McMurphy and Mandel are going with it. Should be a good game.

But basically, they are saying the same thing as all the others - "reputable news outlets from both cities say . . . "

Seems interesting that the news outlets in Ann Arbor, Athens, and Manhattan are saying BOTH of these bowls are a given. When is the official announcement, anyway ?

EDIT: looked it up myself - official word should be no more than one hour from now - 8:30 for those of you in Michigan . . .

Man, I was really hoping Gator. I'm still holding out some hope. We're traveling the few days after X-mas and will have to find someplace to watch the game. Can't plan a party at home like I wanted on the first.

If anyone is interested, here is the K-Stated analysis of its own potential bowl fate - (LINK). Not sure how current their update is, but they list their possibilities as  the BWW Bowl or the Holiday Bowl, so basically either a Big Ten or Pac-12 opponent. Supposedly, there was some scuttlebutt that they might go to the Holiday Bowl - per their sources - but they would now at least concur on the BWW possibility.

I like this on many levels.  The game may get better ratings on the 28th than as a random game on the 1st, it won't conflict with the other Jan. 1 games, and given that K State is also 7-5 I think we should have a decent chance to win.  That said, it would a less impressive win (or loss) than Georgia.  Plus one of the things that has made Michigan Michigan in the past was that we get pushed up into a better bowl game than we perhaps deserve.  Not sure if this means that the aura has faded.

Why would the Gator Bowl pass on Michigan? Who is the fourth pick from the Big Ten that is a better pick for a bowl than Michigan that would allow the Wolverines to slide to 5th pick BWW? Nebraska because they travel? Blah.
