This is better than I expected.

not bad. we lost a game in overtime that we were a 4 point dog in.

31 sounds right. When we beat Iowa at Iowa at night with all eyes on us, we will be back at 20.

That's what happens when you lose to an unranked, 1-3 team that's completely off the national radar...

We are not 31st. The poll only goes to 25, so all you can say is that we are outside of the top 25 yet still received votes.

I disagree with you there, but w/e

you can still count the number of votes that those immediately outside the top 25 received...

and after you do that.....Michigan is still unranked.

Well, receiving the 31st most votes in the country roughly I think roughly corresponds to the 31st best team. We aren't considered the 20th best team and we aren't considered the 40th best team. More specific than that really does not matter much in my mind at this point.

I would have been happy to be ranked 31st.

Who gives a shit?
Rankings are worthless in Oct., especially for this team. While we're on the subject I think 31st or so is about right. Let's worry about beating Iowa, laying a thumpin' on Ohio State and finishing with a decent record (say, 9-3).
At that point Michigan's ranking will matter.

Being #25 won't get anyone any closer to being a national champ than being #3, it's really pointless. Right now, I think 31 seems about right for a team this young.
