Not sure if serious, but I completely agree with this. Before last night, they played one marginally good team all year long, and only two or three marginally good teams last year. Their defense is weak. Their offense is really good. I think there are more than ten teams in the country that would whack OSU right now.

Well, we were 8-4 last year, to be fair. OSU is a really high variance team, I think. They can probably beat anyone in the country if they're clicking. But if the offense is having an off day, any good team can take them down. MSU is the opposite, in that their defense is consistently good and slowly grinds down the will of the opponent.
The great irony of all this is that MSU is exactly what Hoke wants us to be. A pro-style, low-risk, defense-first tank that a high-variance team like OSU will bounce off of. Like Saban did to Meyer's Florida teams. Who would've thunk that MSU would be that team first?

But lets see how long they can maintain it. That's the real test. Their defense is special, their offense is pedestrian. How will they bounce back next year is the question. I'm hoping not well, but that was my hope this year too.

Saying Sparty would beat Auburn ... LMAO! Auburn's O is night & day better than Ohio's. There defense is much better also
Sparty is going to have all they can handle with Stanford.

I disagree. I think OSU's offense is as good as any in the country. They've been pretty prolific.

It may only get worse with their cultural acceptance of cheating. I live in Alabama and Auburn fans just shrug and laugh when you mention Cam Newton.

Four years ago we pounded the crap out of BG, and now we're apparently ranked below them, if the "Others Receiving Votes" category means anything.

Sparty's D seems to be the real deal, and the SEC has a couple of good teams. But, Sparty could beat anyone behind them I think.

But who the hell is giving them first place votes. That's just a boat load of BS.
And I also think MSU would have a good shot at beating Auburn. I do not think Auburn's offense is better than OSU, and their defense is at best the same. I do not think any team outside Bama has a great shot at FSU, and I think Bama was overrated most of the season due to perseption, not sure they really would have much better of a chance outside of Saban with time to prepare.
