Hand Trying To Flip Peppers

Jabrill Peppers tells Rivals that Da'Shawn Hand is trying to get him to "flip" but he thinks he's "going to go blue"

Peppers also said right now he only has a visit planned to Michigan. "It might stay that way and it may not."

EDIT: Peppers has added this

Peppers says the pass rush (from Hand) will help him as a DB, but Countess has 6 picks and Taylor has 4. #Alabama corners have 3 total.

Michigan recruiting is like getting into a relationship with a cute girl who's about 15 lbs overweight but has a gym membership. Things look good early on, but after Thanksgiving she hasn't lost the weight (and may have gained 5lbs) and now her hot friends are hitting on you.

they are on top of the college football world right now and have a top notch coach. it will be tough for Michigan to hang on to Peppers. This does not surprise me one bit considering the state of the program and all the stuff going on with Hoke and his coaches

Take a look at their coaching staff - it definitely isn't just Saban making that team a juggernaut on the field and recruiting.  That staff includes Nussmeier, Smart, and Christobal who could all manage consistent double-digit win seasons at Alabama.

Could probably manage back-to-back 8 win seasons at Michigan, for that matter.

"but he thinks he's 'going to go blue'"

Is that not the most pathetic recruiting quote ever?

Who cares how he phrases "commit to Michigan", I wanna know if that god-awful T-word, "thinks" is a direct quote.  If not, what is?

If we have reached this point and he merely "thinks" he is going to commit to Michigan, momentum has swung way far away from Michigan at this point.

2014 is going to be another very tough season, considering the schedule, and Hoke really needs to make sure he stops the bleeding if he wants to last to see the upperclassman filled fronts he's been desperately needing.

Anyone who seriously thinks he's staying is on something. And I wonder if Hoke will drop him due to his "no-visit" policy. Lol. Just 1 more year til Michigan gets a competent coach. Hopefully Harbaugh or Miles.

I said HOPEFULLY Harbaugh or Miles. I didn't say either one was but merely hoping that we can get someone who isn't a 3rd rate coach, who can only wow the kid's mom and eat dinner with them. Hoke is just a glorified recruiter standing on the sidelines with no headset on and looking like a deer in the headlights on gameday (except for the OSU game, he did an ok job.)

these trolls are planted by MSU or OSU.  Some grad assistants or students who will swear up and down they are true michigan fans.

Shhh.....  Let's put "Leaders and Best 21" in title and no one will know we aren't real fans.

Only a non-fan would think that Harbaugh or Miles are on the table.

Can't bring back downvotes fast enuff!!!

Peppers seems like his own man and will probably stay Blue. Hand drank the kool-aid from the Snakeoil salesman, and is gone, but rather than worry about losing him, this board should looking at who the team might get to replace him - Cornel,or South, in 15, either one,or both, could be Wolverines, and turn out to be better than Hand.

Kids are making a mockery of recruiting. Like it's a game. 'Maybe, maybe not'. 'I think I'm going blue'. This late in the process and you're going to look around? There are no mitigating circumstances. A family member hasn't passed, a coach hasn't been fired, a new offer hasn't come in. To threaten to do this at all is a slap in the face to the staff and school, let alone his fellow commits. Frustrated that United lost, but whatever. Dumb shit.

What is the differential in earnings in going to the NFL for a few years and the big bucks and a lifetime career with a Michigan degree vs Alabama? Not being snarky but even assuming that Alabama gives him a 25% chance to go pro does it pay off? I just don't know enough about what those degrees are worth monetarily.

It honestly doesn't matter where he goes. He could go to Richmond and play and he'd still be a first rounder. Ask Janoris Jenkins. Either he's the most insecure (regarding his talent) 17 year old on the planet or he's looking for a reason to decommit with burning as few bridges as possible.

This is a sad example of ignorance. The general Michigan degree - not Business or Engineering - is what is still considered to be a top 25 degree. Business and Engineering are top 5 in their respective fields.

For my last job, I got noticed in a stack of 200 applicants because I had an undergraduate degree from Michigan in Psychology and English.  Michigan's reputation is much better than Alabama's when it comes to academics.
