He basically says that he is 100% sold on Michigan but "with the coaching situation" and the fact that as a family they want to "respect" everyone (meaning OSU), he will likely visit them.

Brandon better make another pro Hoke and Mattison statement...
December 6th, 2013 at 10:58 PM ^
Another meandering blog post by David Brandon? No thanks.
December 6th, 2013 at 11:23 PM ^
Eeeevvveryone makes a statement like that even if they're going to fire the coach later that day. It doesn't mean much

Code for 'I want to play on a team that can win its conference'.
December 7th, 2013 at 9:45 AM ^
Yes, because Ohio State beating Michigan 42-41on a missed 2-point play at the end of the game is clear evidence that Ohio State will always win its conference and Michigan won't.
December 7th, 2013 at 9:58 AM ^
That is a very short sighted approach to it. OSU went undefeated the last two years (meaning they would have played for it last year but sanctions) and is trending upward. They will likely compete for it every year for the foreseeable future. Michigan on the other had has only been close once in 2011 and is a mess on offense. This is not my opinion this is fact. Makes sense for Crawford.
When this changes recruits won't look elsewhere.
December 7th, 2013 at 11:05 AM ^
That that play would have had no effect on the participants in the B1G Championship is a pretty strong indictment, however.
Devin completes that pass, and OSU is still the favorite against MSU and Michigan is still in the bottom half of their division, unfortunately.
December 7th, 2013 at 11:22 AM ^
We haven't won the division in 9 years. Kids graduating high school now wouldn't have remembered the last time we won our own conference.
December 7th, 2013 at 11:31 AM ^
12 out of the last 14 head to head matchups? Or how about 1 conference champ versus 7 in the last 10 years?
December 7th, 2013 at 7:45 PM ^
Yeah, you're right, if Michigan had made that 2-point conversion, and had stopped Ohio State from subsequently scoring and actually won the game for the 2nd time in, like, a decade, then Michigan would then be playing in the championship game today.
Oh, yeah, that's right, Ohio State would be playing in it regardless of the outcome of the Michigan game.
Look at the bright side, Michigan's record in the Big Ten Championship game is still absolutely unblemished! It's still 0-0, just like Indiana, Purdue, Minnesota... So yeah, we got that goin' for us.

Welp. Shades of Gareon Conley. Crap
December 6th, 2013 at 10:10 PM ^
Bye bye
December 6th, 2013 at 10:11 PM ^
Well, dang.
December 6th, 2013 at 10:11 PM ^
Remember before the season started when there was so much good recruiting news? He is an Ohio kid who is going to visit Ohio State, not suprising but still dissapointing.
Also correct me if I am wrong, but I thought Crawford grew up a Michigan fan?
December 6th, 2013 at 10:14 PM ^
are correct and his family loves Hoke (and UM)....
December 6th, 2013 at 10:12 PM ^
Wasn't he just quoted at being 100% Michigan? Or was that someone else
December 6th, 2013 at 10:14 PM ^
That was him.
December 6th, 2013 at 10:14 PM ^
Was quoted saying he was 100%
December 6th, 2013 at 10:53 PM ^
"100% committed" seems to be misused more than the word "literally."
December 6th, 2013 at 10:58 PM ^
We need to hear 110% to be convinced, with this being sports and all.
December 7th, 2013 at 2:09 AM ^
60% of the time they stay committed everytime
December 7th, 2013 at 9:47 AM ^
But 84% of all statistics are made up on the spot.
December 7th, 2013 at 10:32 AM ^
Are complete fabrications.
December 7th, 2013 at 11:41 AM ^
Or, did he borrow that from somewhere else?
December 6th, 2013 at 10:15 PM ^
Like this week
December 6th, 2013 at 10:13 PM ^
When he committed to us they didn't want him. He's to small for their defense!
December 7th, 2013 at 12:41 AM ^
something no one in OSU's secondary knows how to do
December 6th, 2013 at 10:13 PM ^
I'm sick of this shit.
December 6th, 2013 at 10:20 PM ^
He is a junior in HS, he lives in Ohio and I'm certain he has to constantly hear shit, from his teammates, friends, relatives and the school. If he takes a visit and comes out of it saying, OSU doesn't compare to Michigan, it will only make Michigan look that much better....
December 6th, 2013 at 10:22 PM ^
The kid can do what he wants. He should do what's best for him. I'm just being emo about all the crappy news.
December 7th, 2013 at 9:15 AM ^
You really think he would come out of it and say, "OSU doesn't compare to Michigan"?
If he meant OSU was worse it may be difficult to still live in Ohio.
On the other hand, If he meant OSU has dominated Michigan, is undefeated and wins championships.......
December 7th, 2013 at 10:21 AM ^
i guess losing 42 - 41 trumps losing 10 outta 11 years or whatever it is now. Michigan is selling nothing but hope while urban is selling reality.
but Michigan has the most wins in college football so there's that....
December 7th, 2013 at 11:00 AM ^
...is increasingly ancient history to these 18-year old kids. It's more like, "What have you done for me lately?..."
December 7th, 2013 at 4:54 PM ^
That was the joke.
December 6th, 2013 at 10:19 PM ^
Just once! All we get now is bad recruiting news, "what if" games lamenting our hearbreaking losses, and OSU vs. MSU BTCG prediction threads......
December 6th, 2013 at 10:27 PM ^
We usually recruit pretty well then.
December 7th, 2013 at 6:51 AM ^
I just spit Cheerios! Literally!
This isn't the end guys. If hoke is right for the program we will win games and be exceptional again. If not we will wallow in 8-4/8-5 excuse filled years until we can him and hope springs eternal again; just expand your time line...
December 6th, 2013 at 10:48 PM ^
to 7-5 teams.
December 7th, 2013 at 12:07 AM ^
It'll probably happen the season after I die. That's my Cubs-fan mentality.
December 7th, 2013 at 9:16 AM ^
There is plenty of good news. For example, Hoke is being well fed at recruit's homes.
December 7th, 2013 at 10:56 AM ^
Again, Michigan recruits 130-200 players every single year, and only ~20 can come to Michigan in any given class. By definition, the vast majority of "recruiting news" is going to be negative for Michigan.
December 6th, 2013 at 10:37 PM ^
Hoke and company = 10 losses in 2 seasons and Urban Meyer is 24-0
If they offer him, he will miost likely be gone.
Good Luck to him either way
December 6th, 2013 at 11:23 PM ^
I agree. It's just tiresome.
December 6th, 2013 at 10:49 PM ^
Grow up.
