UC-Davis v. Boise State

What the hell? It's 13-0 in the early 3rd quarter? Is UC-Davis a good team or is Boise just not playing well?

IIRC they upset Stanford couple years ago. I'm not sure if that means much, but I think it might of been the same year Stanford beat USC.

about Boise State. They seem to be a very fundamentally sound football team, but its so obvious how bad their schedule is. I think Brian addressed this the other day, but its hard to understand why they're ranked where they are. Yes they did beat Oregon, but we're talking about an Oregon team that looked like they werent going to win a game all season. In that game they couldnt do anything and Boise State only won by 11. Looking at their schedule going forward its hard to even decide what the next toughest game is on their schedule, bc I didn't really have the schools had FB teams. Whats more disappointing is how much we hear about how bad they deserve a shot and NOT how they need to schedule more challenging non conference opponents to prove it. The voters in the AP really are just letting them get away with having such a cupcake schedule. I think if I could make a comparison of their remaining opponents I'd say MAC level talent? At best. I just hope that if they do make it into a BCS game that they get blown out so we can at least get some comfort in hearing the 'they shouldnt have been there' line.

I was at the game. It was about 40 degrees and raining for pretty much all of the game, and it was just sloppy all around. You can see how BSU has some explosive athletes, and they seem like they can turn just about any play into a long score, but they seemed off today. UC Davis' offense primarily consisted of chucking the ball up for grabs and getting some ticky-tack PI calls. BSU deserves to be ranked, but without seeing them against better competition we just don't know where.
