If you are going to make fun of someone for being the worst you have to 'when' correctly.

There is a difference between a typographic error and just not knowing the difference. The OP made the former.

How do you 'when' correctly?

I think this web site needs to stop obsessing over everything related to Ohio (not just the football program/university, but anything else, too).

I don't think its obsessing, but just support for our theory about the whole state being the DBs that we all think they are. It's entertainment at this point, especailly in the (somewhat) off season.

Most common response by a customer service person who has just been sworn at by an Ohioan: Who pooped in your cooler?

My vocabulary improved dramatically when at age five my family moved me to Michigan. I had become quite the connoisseur of soap by that time.

Tasty? I got vinegar

Wasn't this posted a while ago?

Months ago, but few seem to notice so it is reaching a new audience.

One of the things about this study is that it affirms in a way something that I rather admire about my own wife. As you will note in the link, Illinois is one of the more profane states and my wife - born and raised Northsider that she is - often contributes in her own way to that statistic. It is one of the reasons that I love her actually. Call me strange.

That's a bunch of godd*mn crap...Seriously, though, I've lived in both Massachusetts and Ohio, and ther is *no* way Ohioans aren't more courteous than those in Mass overall. This study is just a small slice of life.

We call drivers from Massachusetts "massholes".

is concentrated in Boston, having lived there for a few years. I loved the city itself, lots to do and see...but as my dad always said, "The only thing wrong with Boston....is the Bostonians."

I gave two students detentions this week for giving me crap about the game.(I live and teach in Ohio)

Nice. I refuse to give any extra credit to students who wear ohio gear ad pander me about the game. It works out nice because the two students I have that support ohio fit right in with most of the stereotypes ohio fans so commonly exhibit.
I teach in Michigan so I fortunately avoid the majority of ohio fandom.

If Ohio parents are unable or unwilling to teach their kids to be respectful. Then a man from Michigan will. (I was born in the D and lived in AA)

Based on my comparably scientific study of the four Bucknuts sitting behind me at The Game, I’d say this generalization is accurate. I especially enjoyed the “OooooooooooO-H-I-O rip his f---ing head off!” cheer after every Ohio kickoff. That was way better than “The c--ksuckers of the West” rendition of The Victors that the two mental giants sitting next to me invented. Next time bring your meds please. It was nice to hear them get agitated at being called Ohio, though.

Yes, its a frequent topic of discussion around here, calling them ohio, "Hoke does it, so its okay..." thing. But people hate the "pet names" they have for us, yet have a hard time when we return fire, "suckeyes" and the like. I stay away from that type of naming convention, but I will call them ohio right to their faces. Its not vulgar and is JUST underhandedly annoying enough to bother them. Its, at least, not an overt slam but more just enough disrespect to prove a point.

I don't think swearing is all that bad. However, it is more effective when you demonstrate that you know a few other words first.
