If you were there, how about that atmosphere?

Holy shit. That was probably the most consistently loud I've ever heard Michigan Stadium for a game. I think Under the Lights II had some louder moments when ND was on offense, but man. That was incredible.

The best part was that I was able to stand for the ENTIRE GAME and no one told me to sit down! The days where Michigan fans are quiet are gone, and I love it.

Shout! takes a little part of my soul every time Special K plays it. And gotta love playing random hip hop beats at full volume while the MMB is valiantly trying to play The Victors.

I too loved that everyone was standing the whole game and i didnt get yelled at to sit down all day. Also, the buckeye fans, at least the ones i personally talked to, were very nice and level headed, even pretty generous. Surprisingly, they all seemed to think this game would actually be a close one, whereas most of us fans thought it would be a murder. I just wish that there was more room per seat and i didnt have frankenstein standing in front of me. Overall though, i enjoyed myself thoroughly.

It was an incredible atmosphere. During the on-field scuffle my section just erupted. It turned into Buckeye fans and our fans getting into it verbally. Lets hope this is what we'll consistently in 2014 (I do not believe this will be the case obviously given our home schedule).

felt like when Gallon started the game with an 80+ yard catch the crowd got really into it. Than there was the fight and it was utter bedlam for the next 3 quarters. I definitely think "consistently " is the perfect word because the crowd really was into it for the whole game. I thought it was way louder than UTL 2 but not as loud as the 4th quarter of UTL1. From the time I was in the stadium till the second OSU intercepted the 2 point conversion it may have been thebest atmosphere i've seen at the big house.

but if true, thats extremely impressive that the crowd was up like that for a noon game. UTL and UTL II had the benefit of being a night game. In a competely immeasurable ranking, that might make this the best Michigan crowd in recent memory

to sit by some lady wearing brown and pink while people in front of me were standing.  But I think the people that sold their tickets were very nearly addition by subtraction.  If you scaled the stadium down to 80k the fans would be awesome.

The crowd was totally silent during the entire third quarter. It was also very quiet every time we gave up the lead. It waited for the team to have a good offensive play before it would get back to cheering. Odd.

The piped in music was a blessing. It drowned out Ohio's band, who played very loudly whenever the crowd got quiet, which was often in the third quarter. They also played during a play in the 4th, which is a no no.

I only heard one Fire Borges, but that guy later praised a Butt touchdown as a great play call, despite the targeted player being double covered.

There was a lot of love. Not a season ticket holder, so I didn't know the people around me. But they were all very pleasant, moreso than I've ever experienced. A stranger felt happy enough and comfortable enough to just repeatedly pound my shoulders when we did good things. Not one person asked me to sit down, and I'm 6'5" 300 and never sit.

I was there and it was okay. I actually had to laugh because the Ohio fan behind me was pretty pissed at the Ohio D. Heard a lot of comments like: "Gardner completes that pass over the middle EVERYTIME!" If Michigan had won I would say yes. But since they lost UTL I is still the best.

Well, about 1/3 of the stadium was Buckeye fans, so I expected it to be louder than normal.

Also, any students who did not show, how about a big middle finger to you. You guys are sorry excuses for fans.

As a student, I feel that it's worth mentioning that for many students, including myself, the close proximity to the Thanksgiving holiday led to use having to choose between going to the game or spending time with our families.

Middle finger for the student fans?  I didn't see a lot of red in the student section, how about all the old fans that gave up on their team and sold their tickets?   How about a middle finger for them?  Really the amount of hate leveled against the students is outrageous considering they all shortened their thanksgiving breaks to come back.

Come back after you finish yelling at the neighborhood kids to get off your lawn.

"I Have a Gnarly Face";

We're you there? Last week you wrote that you were not going to the game and that you pitied anyone who was going.

What happened? We're you there, or not?

I'm a student and the student section is always loud.  The few times I've ventured outside to sit somewhere else it's like a graveyard by comparison and I feel weird about cheering loudly, which... shouldn't be the case.

Stood for the entire game in section 20. That part was great. The crowd being 1/3 red was very disappointing. The crowd could have been a big factor today, but wasn't.

Section 12 row 52 for 35 years - took over my dad's tickets. Never sat down. Loved it. Any recruit that doesn't want to come play there after that visit is crazy.

We got tickets from Stubhub since they were reasonably prices and to prevent OSU fans from going. Not quite the atmosphere as either UTLs, but MUCH better then I'd expected. I was never asked to sit down, the fans were respectful and engaged the entire game. I really thought I'd leave this game embarrassed and ashamed of our fanbase. It couldn't have been further from the truth! And what about those True Freshman RBs?
