Bo Pelini is just the best halftime interview ever....if you want your questions answered in a rather terse, hostile manner. How about we ask him how he feels about the turnovers after the game if Nebraska falls, eh?

Way to go, Pelini. You just cost your own team another 15 yards for unsportsmanlike conduct. Spectacular dispaly of self-discipline in the face of officiating adversity.

We'll call that FG the "Bo Pelini Memorial Field Goal", I think. To be fair, however, perhaps he was confused and was going to mark the spot where he thought he left the field of play, thereby becoming ineligible as a receiver.

Iowa: Kirk Ferentz and his assistants did a good job - few expectations - yet end up 8-4 and beat some "name" teams. Take home point - coaching can make a up for some of the disparity in talent (but not all)

Nebraska:  Bo Pelini and his team had a lot of breaks this year - could've/shoud've lost to Northwestern and arguably the Wolverines, so they could have ended up 6-6. Take home point - tradition, legacy and history can't make up for talent and coaching issues.

BUT having noted that - Nebraska seemed to have a backup QB and even a third guy ready to play. So their coaching and recruiting issues aren't horrible. Iowa also has played credibly against most of the top teams this year while staying true to their style.

Les seems to be on a Lloyd trajectory at LSU.  The last two seasons combined with losing 3 out of the last 4 bowl games will most likely not meet the standard, especially when you consider his two recent raises in salary  (it was two, was it not?).  I wonder how long before the fans decide he has not done enough lately?

and it isa complete passing exploson. Through basically one half:

Derek Carr 20/26 315yd 6 TD 0 INT

David Fales 27/32 451yd 6 TD 0 INT

at halftime. Halftime! Fales is on pace for 900 yds and 12 TD

Yikes just watched Pelini's post-game presser..  "if you're going to fire me, fire me..." or something to that effect.  I'm not sure how he survives with his antics, the taped bashing of fans, the "fire me" stance, some really bad losses throughout his tenure, etc....

Nebraska hasn't had a great run of coaches since Osborne retired (Solich, Callahan, Pelini). It will be interesting to see how they pursue the next coach and their potential list of candidates.  I'd give my support for Borges to replace Pelini.
