Good to see we are still ranked after two early losses. I think this team will be alright by the time the Big Ten comes around. Need to see a lot of improvement from some of the younger guys though.

I love banking on improvement. At least Beilien has a track record of it.

Beilein. "E" before "i" both times.

I would rather us be unranked right now. Give the kids a little chip on their shoulder. I hope the freshman didn't take the high ranking at the start of the year as a sign they could just coast through everything.
Anyways, I like the upside of this team. It might take a little longer than we hoped, but that doesn't matter. A strong finish in the Big Ten, a Big Ten tourney run to the championship game (hopefully win) and a deep tourney run in March is hopefully on the horizon.

Sounds about right. Not surprised to see us struggle a little bit early on, especially without Trey and THJ. I like what I'm seeing out of Caris and Stauskas and once McGary gets back to his normal self we'll be just fine.

against the big boys he plays helter skelter and rushes everything which has led to ALOT
of turnovers and bricks.

meh
Rankings don't mean much in college basketball. What matters most is winning conference games.

I was at the Puerto Rico Tip Off Tourney.... And having watched the team in person, I have to say, I'm not terribly worried. I'm not saying they'll win it all. But from all indications, the issues we do have are all correctible with time and coaching (something the bball team is not lacking). Yes, they are young. Yes, they still make freshman mistakes. Yes, they still need to work on their defense.
But despite all that, after the loss to Charlotte I came away thinking 'this will be a really good team come March/April"
I look forward to the team they will eventually gel into.

I think it may be better for a young team to lose a few close game than to win them all early in the season. It makes the coach's job easier of impressing upon them areas to improve.
