That's the key.  Hire Carl Pelini to give Braxton Miller et al a sample, and record it.  Then release it a few days before the game.  If OSU covers it up, asterisk.  If they don't then it should be a somewhat competitive game.

"We'll see..." When I was a kid and my dad would respond with, "we'll see" I came to realize that it almost always meant, "no."

I feel bad for Fitz, but it about the team. I think the OL is certainly an issue, and a big one, but Fitz just isn't going forward and gaining those tough yards that are there on most runs.

PS -- anyone have a GIF of Green's long run and especially the blow he delivered at the end?

Please have a plan of attack against Ohio State. Please have a plan of attack against Ohio State. Please have a plan of attack against Ohio State. Their defense is average. Chew as much clock as possible

You're wanting an offense that has scored 1 regulation TD in 12 quarters against mediocre defenses 2/3rds of that time to have a plan of attack against an Ohio team that has scored 26 TDs in that same stretch...  26 TDs vs 1 TD...  JBT man... the emotional hedge is in order.

that stating Fitz starting is a "we'll see" situation, is just coach speak and that he saw with his own eyes that the 2 frosh RB's are better than Fitz.

They ran harder and hit the hole quicker, they certainly weren't any worse at blocking, pretty hard to be worse to begin with. Please play the 2 frosh so that they don't even think about transferring and more importantly, getting some experience for next year.

Look, I appreciate seniors and what they've done and been through, but the better players need to play, it's a very simple concept. Hoke needs to decide, are we going to coddle players or try to win while still treating players fairly.

I agree with you in general, but freshman -- even highly recruited ones -- should probably not take the "I'm going to play immediately or transfer" attitude.  Football is not like basketball where one freshman recruit can make a large difference.

The frosh RBs need to play because they are so much better at blocking and, frankly, running the ball effectively.  I always thought Fitz was wildly overrated.  Have you even seen a guy get tackled by a shirt pull more often than him.  Plus, he just can't block.  Period.  Time to move on.  Give Green a majority of the carries.  Have Fitz take about a third and we will be fine.

but I really liked Green in place of Fitz. A few times Green used his shoulder and bowled into defenders and I loved it. I think that 'light' is coming on that's saying "I am heavier than every LB and DB on the field. I will punish them". He looked good

After reading Brian's write-up, I'm curious if the few times we threw a bubble screen aided the running game tremendously. We had more running room than we've had in weeks

Hoke, on the development of Shane Morris, "Probably has about 75-80% of a grasp on the offense (now), in September it was probably 45-50%."

So he knows 3 of our 4 plays now?

I kid, I kid.  Just a standard predictable offense joke.

Loved Green and Deveon Smith in there.  Vividly remember Green bulldozing one of the defenders and it was nice.  I appreciate Fitz's contributions but he's starting to suffer from our offense IMO.  He was meant to be speedy and run in space, not big and plow over defenders.  While it's hard to take too much away from one game, our RB position could be looking much more promising with these two.
