Hilariously delusional. All three Rose Bowls were down to the wire losses to top 5 teams. If a season ending in a Rose Bowl loss is so worthless, you obviously don't think very highly of Bo's legacy. That also makes 6 Rose Bowls in the BCS era. Wisconsin has a better winning percentage than Michigan since conference expansion. What major resource advantage do you think Michigsn has that Wisconsin does not? Both programs are in the top 10 nationally in football revenue and expenditures. Both have state of the art facilities. Camp Randall and Wisconsin's game day atmosphere do not exactly take a back seat to anyone, something everyone in the country is aware of unless you've never left Southfield. Academic support, a topic that came up here this week? Since 2009 Wisconsin has 86 academic all conference selections. Michigan? 45. I'll give you the February recruiting title, though. Somehow we survive with our 3 star players. Michigan is an elite program for sure. Might be a good idea to get out more, though. With a single shared national title since 1948 and mediocrity for the last 7 years, I have no idea why you think you have a right to expect more than 3 straight Rose Bowls.

What's Michigan's claim to fame? Getting owned by USC in the Rose Bowl? I don't know what everyone around here is waiting for, that is what Michigan was the last time we "were back." Unless we're talking about success SIXTEEN YEARS ago. Which is ridiculous. We would laugh at Nebraska or Tenneseee or Virginia Tech fans talking about "man, when are we going to be restored to where we should be as national title contenders." Yet that's all we do here. Not everyone gets to go to the national championship, it's about time people here learn to live with that.

Apparently you have forgotten that that was(and still is) an OSU defense loaded with Tressell recruits. Recruits who had years to play in that same system coached primarily by the same coaches. Meyer didn't change much, if anything, about OSU's defense.

 

Mattison meanwhile is playing freshman and sophomores mixed in with RichRod recruits. Is the defense where it needs to be? Nope. Mattison himself will say that. But UM is still young. 

 

Btw, Mork third defense at MSU gave up 26 points per game and 380 yard per game. This froma  guy who has the best defense in the Big Ten as we speak.

UM rotates so much that starting doesn't matter as much. Look at the two deep. It's filled with youth.

 

Anyways, Mattison knows what he is doing. Look at his track record. If this continues next year then yeah we have to start worrying. As I showed you before struggles in Year Three is not necessarily an indicator of future struggle. Look at Dantanio's third season on defense. It wasn't good.

It seems like more really, but Ohio State has only got 242 yards of offense in the first 20 minutes or so of regulation, but it is only on 24 plays - basically 10 yards per snap, which seems about right when you're playing Illinois. 

Also, Nathan Scheelhaase will just have to work on altering time itself and somehow throwing before the snap is perceived. It might be the only way now.

I looked at OSU's 2014 schedule.  The only games they could legitimately be challenged are maybe VaTech at home and Sparty in EL.  They skip Wiscy and Neb.  UM will be a sacrifice at home.  I guess @ Minnesota is their 2nd toughest Big10 game.  Or weak PSU.  They have a real chance (excluding bowls) of going undefeated 3 seasons in a row.  But no worries, we are just 1 recruiting class away from matching it.
