When wwas the last time had negative rushing yards 2 games in a row?  Even if they didn't attempt a single run next game they would beat their last 2 outings combined.

If hoke can't fire al he is a useless cheerleader since he doesn't have the capacity to fix what's wrong. Replace Al or Hoke needs to go as well.

When Nebraska is literally blitzing two guys right at EVERY running play, you're tipping things.  Every time we run.  If you're that predictable, you get back to back negative rushing performances, plus the Penn State debacle.  That's now something like ten utter debacles in three years for this offensive coaching staff.  Some of that's on Rodriguez's offensive line coaching, but I think at this point most of it is on Borges.

Hoke's supposed to be a CEO coach who is a badass recruiter and hires excellent people as his assistants.  If that's the case, he needs to fire Borges, or what's the point?

This staff won 11 games with rich rods team that he would have won 11 games with. They've gone back words since in every situation possible. They found a way to slow down Denard Robinson. They found a way become a laughing stock on the road. It's not getting better. It doesn't matter what recruits we have it will get, these guys are not good coaches.

I don't get why you think Hoke can meaningfully imrpove on this (likely) 7-5 season next year (with a younger OL and losing your best receiver) with a staff shakeup but you don't think RR could have done really well by a change in his defense.

Glad to see you're finally coming around on this season though and recognize we're heading the wrong direction (which still would have been the case if we somehow scratched out a win today). You've been whistling through the graveyard all year.

This is why the B1G is an embarrassment. Terrible coordinators like Bollman, Roushar, Shoop, Borges and many others put garbage on the field and still keep their jobs. Keep them around, we don't want to hurt their feelings.

If Al Borges was coaching in the SEC, Big 12, or Pac 12 and put this on the field every week, he would have been fired last year.

We can not keep someone on staff who keeps us from winning games. We're here to win, he's not getting the job done.

we really need to fire HOKE, this job is way over his head.  He continuously lie to us.  Green is a much better blocker than he let's on.  He calls very very dumb timeout, in the first half.  He cant coach.  This job is way over his head.  you can see it on the side line.  Neb. is playing with 3 back up linement may be 4 and they are winning no excuses.  I cant understand how in the world this guy will get an extra year.  He lost this team a sign of a weak coach and a sign of things to come

Love how he recruits and represents the program off the field.

But running a big-time BCS conference program is not for everybody.  He's a good, solid mid-major coach.

Out of his element.

In over his head.

You've lost me coach.  And from the looks of things, you've lost the players, too.

Mattison is not blameless here either.  Northwestern gave up 13 pts last week ON THE ROAD with a roster full of 3 stars not counting the last second hail mary. (one TD was scored by Neb defense).  IT's a bad offense with 1 player on it who is a playmaker. Nebraska was playing its 2nd and 3rd string QB.  People here think this is the offense of 2012 or early in the year.  Kenny Bell is hurt and maybe running at 60%.  2 starting OL came into the game out with injury and a 3rd went out in the 1st half.  They still drove 15 plays in the 4th quarter for the winning drive.  Mattison is also driving me a crazy.

UCLA beat this team by 20 in Nebraska.  Please.

We have no offensive answers for what the defense does.  We run into stacked boxes, we pass against two high and try to throw deep against the blitz.  Borges and Funk need to go or Hoke needs to go.  This is as bad as the Rodriguez defensive ineptness.  This staff did their best work with Rodriguez's talent, and the people who blame this on O-Line youth need to shut up.  You have two very good to great tackle and I've never seen an interior line, even an inexperienced one, look this bad, although most of it is Borges setting downs on fire by running from obvious formations into a stacked box.  This is complete and utter bullshit, and this staff poo poos the spread.  I'd rather be a wussy basketball on grass team than whatever the fuck this is.

Well, I think that Beilein and the rest of the staff have proven themselves very capable of developing talent and melding that talent into a team. Looking forward to a great Michigan Basketball season!

i think hoke is a position coach.. he talks like one and spends most of his time with DL.  i don't think he is a head coach at least not in a big time conference, proabably whe he had success with Ball State and SDS.  they need to hire a legit HEAD COACH who care about both the offense and defense.  ever wonder why borges only stays at a school for a few years.. fired or quit?

No more snowflakes!  It hasn't snowed all season.  The rest of this season will be deja vu.  We'll lose every game that we're supposed to win and get pounded on the ones we're the underdog.

Borges & Funk have to go.  Hoke and the rest of the staff can stay mainly due to recruiting ability.  But, they get 2 more years.  If things don't change by 2015 we need to change them too...sorry.  At least I hope this coaching change doesn't cause us 4 more years to overhaul the roster for the 3rd consecutive time.

That was the worst game i have ever seen him call and thats coming from a Borges defender.  Only to screens, only saw one draw and ridiculous lack of hot routes.  It was awful, he called that game like he was playing MSU again which Nebraska is all kinds of not.
