Michigan - Michigan Tech: Open Thread

Submitted by Sac Fly on

One hour until puck drop, let's get some hockey conversation going to take our minds off the football game.  Michigan goes for the sweep tonight against Michigan Tech, with a few changes to the lineup.

I think its being played out here for me on FCS Atlantic but not till 930. Not sure whether I should try to wait for the tape delayed version or look for a stream elsewhere for the regular puck drop

Tech looking pretty good again tonight. It'll be interesting to see how they do in the WCHA this year. Id like to say "I think theyll do well" but inevitably those teams that play us well end up sucking despite how well they play us

I'm five minutes from Yost and am contemplating going and buying a ticket. Something must wash this taste out of my mouth from the football game

I enjoy seeing Tech in Yost, rather than another random team like a RIT or St Lawrence or something. I still dream of the day when there's a (State of) Michigan Cup or something like it. This is probably the only sport in the state where so many universities compete at the highest level together

I was thinking about it today too. Its much easier to handle a loss in hockey or basketball because every loss isnt devastating. Plus, as long as we're winning most games, we always have our shot in the NCAAs. Football is so much different

sure would ease my tension level.  Still haven't recovered emotionally from this afternoon's beat-down.

Good---going on a power play right now...

and still up 1-0. Not sure what to make of this series. It certainly looks like a massive mismatch on paper but the games have been fairly even. Tech better than it seems? Michigan worse? Just let down games?
