Love how strong Walton is around the hoop. Great hands, very under control. Hopefully that keeps up when he's playing against bigger folks in the regular season.

I like Walton's game.  He's not going to be able to generate his own offense anything like Burke could do, but he's quick and aggressive, seems comfortable in transition and dishing on the move.  He's had a couple iffy decisions, but that'll come.  True for any young PG.

I had to mute the web broadcast and switch to mgoblue's radio.  Web guys were just way too goofy and not good.  I wanted to hear how Terry Mills was as an analyst

WHAT?!  I thought he was a sophomore.

Still, he does look a step slower than the others.  Which is fine.  And if so, it probably means that he'll need a little longer to get up to pace than others.  Which is what I said.  Or you think that he'll remain slower for his career?

If you think he's just slow period, that's conditioning.

I said slow in rotation/a step slow. That's simply effort and knowing where the hell to be.

You can't help off your man like you do in HS, in HS, most kids can't hit that 3 from the corner so you pack it in if you're on the wing. In college Nik Stauskas hits five 3's in the first half of the Elite 8 if you sag off of him in the corner.

I think he'll be fine, it's just experience and taking pride in defense.

I admit, part of it is just the novelty of the idea, but DAMN I LOVE THAT BIG LINEUP.  Beilein is going to have fun throwing in that lineup just to screw with people, then adding the 1-3-1, then going small, then big.

Ah.  the world seems right at the moment.
