What will happen with the old Press Box?

Submitted by Zonereadstretch on
With the completion of the stadium renovations next year does anyone know what the University will be doing with the remnants of the old press box after it is removed from the stadium? Be it seating, bricks, signage etc?

I think that we're all hoping that they do that. Who on here wouldn't want to buy an old seat from there? And even if I can't get something slightly pragmatic like and old seat, I'd still like something to remember the press box by and just to have as Michigan memorabilia.

And stools. But I haven't been in the press box in more than 10 years. The Univ has said it will save the art deco lettering atop the press box, but, to my knowledge, will demolish the structure itself.

you know how when a home team pulls off a huge win, sometimes the fans will storm the field and pull down the goal posts? I say, if we beat Ohio State, we dismantle the press box.

apart from the inside out and throwing it down the elevator shafts. you want some? Wait until after the season then go dumpster diving. Or, bribe a construction worker on site.

That's a great idea. They would definitely make tons of money from it. It would be a really classy move if they donated the proceeds to the Children's Hospital.

i dont know wat they'll do with it but i say keep all the lettering and put it on the new press boxes and then auction the rest of it like they did with the cowboy stadium... with the money donate 1/2 to the childrens hospital
