Rosenberg reduced to human interest columns week of Michigan v. MSU

Michael Rosenberg column today... A password's job? To keep your info from you "This column may be a silly, unfunny, poorly written thingy. But at least you don't need a password to read it." You guys who want to read it can find it via a link or a copy of the paper on a table somewhere. This is the Monday morning column from their guy the Monday of Michigan - MSU week??? It's interesting what has happened to his role at the Freep. I almost hesitated to post this. Not looking to inspire another thread about the Freep hatchet job, but this caught my attention.

It would be great if the editor has finally stepped in, decided to end his tripe once and for all, and has started damage control. At the very least, I would imagine that even a dolt like him has realized that Rosenpuke's credibility as a writer covering UM has been severely compromised. Maybe the boycott is actually big enough that it is biting into their numbers a little bit, too. At any rate, it looks like they have realized that any pedestrian Rosenpuke article or column on UM isn't going to get too many clicks or sell many papers. If it wouldn't involve clicking onto their site, I would like to send an email to the editor telling him my IQ has increased by ten points simply by not reading the freep anymore: thus proving the point that we really are dumber for having read their paper, but that it can be reversed by boycotting.

hasn't written anything about college football since the 1st week of the season, and when he did it was for state. he has been doing stuff for the lion as of last week. the freep higher ups might have taken him off of college football all together now, but then there is the article from him and some other guy asking the michigan AD for updates on the investigation. so who really knows what the hell is going on there.

madvillian Is that remark connected in some way to Rosenberg possibly being Jewish and/or a Yom Kippur comment? If so that was totally inappropriate. I actually thought/heard he wasn't Jewish, but had a surname that many people associate with the Jewish faith. Now if sundown last night also happened to mark some sort of observance for inadequate writers --you may have a point.
