College Gameday Open Thread

Just turned it on and two things have happened. 1. Clowney couldn't be bothered to ride the team bus to the stadium with his teammates today. 2. Kiffin was interviewed and came across like the douche that he is. Edit: Clowney was on the bus. ESPN had bad information and Clowney isn't the worst teammate ever.

Yeah, I think Kiffin was fine, classy even. Dude gets a lot of hate because he landed a shot at the big time really early, too early, and that comes with the territory. But, bashing a guy on the outs is pretty douchey in and of its self (no offense, OP*). Kiffin will get another, more appropriate, opportunity to show his chops.

He suggested taking away the face mask. He said there would be more broken noses and shoulder separations (from more tackling with the shoulder) but far fewer concussions from leading withe head. Sure many concussions come being thrown back and hitting the head on the turf but, this could help.

Just wont happen of course as it looks like you are diverting to The Dark Ages.

I am going to be on the road for the entire first half, and was wondering if there was any way I could get a radio feed on my iPhone? I dont have sat radio, and was hoping there was a way I could get a feed of the game so I could play it through my car speakers via my iphone? Thanks, and go blue

I think the TuneIn Radio app should work. You'll have to do some research to find which stations are carrying it and are availible on it, but that should do it for you. Radio.com also works for at least CBS radio stations and probably more, but I'm not sure if they'll have the game on one of their stations though.

I believe you need the MGoBlue2Go official app. You can then register for a 99 cent per month subscription (it's month-to-month, so you can cancel it as soon as the game's done and just view it as 99 cents for the game).

I've tried to use TuneIn and other services to listen to the game, and the stations that carry the game never had the game--I'm pretty sure they're not allowed to stream the games online.

I'm still surprised that Washington is only a 14 point dog in this game. Oregon's defense is good and they're going to expose Washington as the crappy team they are. I'm guessing that Mizzou v LSU is going to be much more close than people think. James Franklin seems to have had the lightbulb turn on.

Washington is a very very young team - impressive what the coach has built quickly.  If they didnt lose Keith Price their senior QB next year, I could see them as an outside dark horse for the NC game in 2014.  They are almost as young as UM.   As for why its "only 2 TDs", Washington went into Stanford last week and had a chance to win at the end of the game.  Oregon seems destined for a NC appearance on paper (offense gets all the attention but the defense is actually pretty good thus far), but this should be a fun game and it is in Washington.  If Oregon is going to stumble against anyone not named Stanford this seems like the game.

Phil Knight may indeed wear jorts, but those jorts are innovation and design amplified to match the speed and energy of the Pro Bowl, or at least that's what the NFL release said.

for Sparty there. Won't be surprised if they win but I won't be at all surprised if they go down.

Funny how the IU RB ran all that way then fell down.

RR brought in a couple of good D-Coordinators and then forced his crappy defense concept on them.  Everything about RR at Michigan was wrong.  The hire, no due diligence, his wife, buying a 13,000 SF house in Saline, f-bombs at practice that would even offend any Irishman sappy songs at the team dinners.

Oh, and then there was the recruiting and coaching.

But I sort of liked his honesty.
