If his arm is that bad and he can still throw TD passes like he did, it might be time start thinking about him being the new robot QB in a year or two.

Seriously. Forcier put a 30 yarder on the money, over the inside shoulder in motion for that TD with his arm clearly bothering him. If he can do that, and his legs work, he can win games.

Steve Clark from WTKA reported that Coach Rod says " he's not concerned" when asked about Tate's shoulder.

I hope he's right. But we all know what we saw on the sidelines.
Forcier wasn't faking the yell and supposed F-bomb when he got tapped on the shoulder.

The way he was shaking his hand makes me think it may have been a stinger. Nerve stuff KILLS, but goes away fast.

Coach Rod also puts out weekly injury reports. If he says he is not concerned I'm going to take his word for it.

Welp, time to see how Denard can play as a true QB, rather than a run only QB. This would worry me a lot more if this was the first game of the season. I think Denard is ready to show that he can pass and run the ball.

I don't see it. Denard is a change of pace guy right now and not anywhere near ready to run the full offense. I honestly don't think he could have made the game-winning throw to Odoms. Not saying he won't get there, I just think we lose this week without Tate.

He will be fine, it just is to make sure he takes it easy tonight and doesn't use that arm while scoring touchdown after touchdown in the dorms.
Just to stir things up a bit I think we should start Robinson anyway. Then have him run to the numbers on the wide side toward our bench when Tate comes in to replace, stop short of the numbers, take off, and take in that long pass from Tate for a TD. Its a legal substitution :)
Tate won the game with that arm, cant be hurt too bad...

I think Tate will be more dangerous when wounded. He bounced back nicely in the ND and Indiana win when he was hurt.

Whether he's in a sling or not, and whether he's 100% next week or not, Michigan clearly needs to be worried about whether he can endure 8 more weeks of this.
I don't think Robinson has shown yet that he can QB an entire game. If Forcier is out, I think we see some of Sheridan.

Agreed. And I don't necessarily think that means DEATH. DRob is a great runner, but he's not anywhere near Tate when it comes to throwing. Yeah he completed that longish pass today, but it wasn't a perfect throw. He's a very average thrower right now. IMHE, if Tate doesn't play, I don't think we have a good chance of winning.

FWIW Agreed. It looked like Tate had a Shoulder stinger. TV replays showed him wince, and then flexing his hand like it was numb

your muscles tightening up so tight around your neck and shoulder that your nerve going down your arm feels like its on fire.
You don't feel like moving your arm, infact can't without severe pain. The pain usually subsides but it hurts like hell when it happens.
Its one big giant pinching sensation.

I heard separated shoulder. This really sucks. Not sure what the time frame for that is, but if it's right, he's definitely out.

he came out of the building initially with a sling on his right arm. He was asked if he would sign autographs and said he could not pointing to his arm ... then he was asked again and again, and he went back into the building and was behind the door ... he did not look happy. After about 5 mins he did come back outside and his arm was no longer in a sling, and he and a few others got into a van and they drove off.

This was after he took the sling off just before he got into the van. When he did sit down in the van I did see him pull his arm inside his jacket (pulled him arm out of the sleeve).
