10 memorable plays against Minnesota
I'll make one of these every week for the upcoming B1G opponent we'll be facing. (I really don't know what else to upload these days since T3Media goes on blocking spree of everything else I upload, unless I have highlights from multiple games in a video.)
Anyway, here are ten of my favorite all time plays against Minnesota. Embed below. Which ones would you include in a top ten list?

Jon Navarre transcontinental. Because of course.

Seconded. That was my favorite play when I was younger

1. I miss spats. Black shoes with white tape look SO cool IMO
2. I miss I form-Triple option football. Steve Smith was good but Ricky Leach was amazing
3. What the hell play did the Minnesota QB check out of to get into the sack?
4. VERY nice block from Griese on the reverse to Sir Charles
5. Was Desmond's catch before or after the ND catch cause they looked almost the same!
6. Devin's toss as #1????? Common Man.......
As always your work is fantastic and appreciated!

Desmond's catch was the season before his catch against ND. He perfected the diving catch that season.
That game was also the final game at the big house played on AstroTurf.

I think Gardner's TD is a worthy #1. We shouldn't sell it short just because it's recent. That was one of the most unbelievable TD passes I've ever seen a Michigan QB make and it came on 3rd and 17 no less, in a game in which we hadn't done anything at all offensively.

It ended a 2 game streak wtihout scoring a TD (State's field goal fiesta, and whatever the hell happened in Nebraska)

Loved watching these. Couldn't help but chuckle at the blatant horse-collar tackle in #8. No flag for such a thing back then...

I thought Sam Sword killed that QB.

but my wife got me my first ever tickets to a Michigan game this weekend. Can't wait to experience the big house in person.

is homecoming and homecoming crowds are lame. Have a good time.

Counterpoint: It doesn't make that much of a difference and there's fun stuff during commercial breaks and halftime with alum athletes and band. Plus you get to see a 60 year old man do a backflip.

Yeah I'm a big fan of homecoming. Wish I could go this year.

And during Homecoming you get the full "Temptation" followed by "Hawaiian War Chant," since you can't have one without the other...

Tyler Ecker up the east sideline for about 50 yards in a snoozer of game. I think it was '05.
October 3rd, 2013 at 4:13 PM ^
04. And it was actually a great game.

Just checked the archive. It was #14 Mich vs #13 (!) Minn. I don't remember them being ranked that high.
October 3rd, 2013 at 4:48 PM ^
It was 2004, and Michigan was down 24-20 with 1:57 left when Ecker scored said touchdown (31 yards to be exact).
2005 was when the Gophers won a field goal with :01 left on the clock. That sucked.

Victor Hobson slober knock on the swing play to whoever it was that I cannot remember. I can visualize it though.
October 3rd, 2013 at 4:47 PM ^
If I am not mistaken, that was Sam Sword on the kill against Cory Sauter in #7. I was actually at that game.
This was pretty awesome - I can't wait for the next one. Memories of Minnesota games past abound here.

The Navarre double pass is easily one of my favorite plays of all time just because I absolutely idolized it as a kid... People may think Devin's throw shouldn't be #1, but really, his throw was a turning point for that season. At that point in the game, Devin had already thrown a pick, we were struggling on offense, and we looked to be headed to a 6-6 or 7-5 season with the way things were going without Denard. That throw was surely one of the best things that could have happened last season.

"Devin had already thrown a pick"
You don't say? And we still won, DG's that talented.
The coaches should give him a free pick every game just to get it out of his system so he does not freak out and get the yips when it happens.
Make it glorious. How about a soccer throw-in to the linebackers? Maybe an arm punt into three-deep coverage? What about one of those off-the-foot specials like in the Rose Bowl against USC?
Be creative and have fun with it.

Corp Connor is going to show his true form soon and rain INT's. It might be Saturday in the loss at Iowa. Or maybe he'll save it for another game. Soon.

I can't see the list on my phone. One play I remember was my freshman year 1983. Game was at the Metrodome and Steve Smith kept the ball on an option play and ran ~75 yards for a touchdown.

That's #9 on the video.

It was the inaugural golf tournament a bunch of friends created, we convened on Heckyl Island, SC for a 3 day 5 round golf tournament. That Saturday night was spent in a hotel bar getting drunk and scaring the locals with our celebratory debauchery. Needless to say, the golf tournament has lasted every year since. Not always on that weekend, but that weekend is always brought up.

...was Russell's 61.
Thanks for not including it.
