Suggested Presser Questions You'd Like Asked:

Submitted by Fort Wayne Blue on

Let's start a thread with a collection of questions you'd like to ask the coaching staff this week in their pressers. Here are mine:

1.] Is there a reason that Derrik Green is not getting snaps?
2.] Why has that "Go route" to the far side of the field kept burning the DB's?
3.] Do you feel that certain players or formation are tipping off the play call?

Are you seriously considering making Offensive Line changes, because "competing" in practice has netted the same performance on the field?

Has Devin ever been taught not to turn his back to the LOS while scrambling, and to carry the ball close to his body?

Will you consider wearing a headset on the sideline now?

If you ask him any of these.... please note you would like a non generic coach speak answer.

Why is the O-line struggling so much to move the line of scrimmage in short yardage?

Before the Michigan game started last night I watched some of the Stanford/ASU game. Stanford had a short yardage play where their line pushed ASU back like five yards. Everyone in the stadium knew it was going to be a run. ASU had the box stacked and still Stanford was able to fire off the ball and knock people back. I have not seen that out of MIchigan's O-line the past couple years.

I thought the same thing. When is the last time you saw Michigan line up in a base power formation and run the ball up the middle for 3-4 yards? Lloyd Carr era maybe? Jeez, I never thought I'd miss that play but I do now.

We've got two rs so and a rs fr, one of whom was a walk on, one of whom was recruited for spread zone blocking and you wonder why the interior o-line, now with 4 starts each are not dominating everyone?

I'm not sure why they aren't getting huge push. It's just beyond me.

So two guys who are in their third year in the program and one guy in his second year should not be able to push defensive lineman a few yards when blocking straight ahead?

They are all low on experience and everyone knew Miller was not going to manhandle anyone. Take away good push by the center and poor blocking even by him, couple it with no experience for the guys on either side...

I didn't have a whole lot of expectations, but I think things would be better if fitz would follow his lead blocker. The the tight ends could block. And the wr blocking was consistent.

Nobody is wondering why they aren't dominating EVERYONE but, it's not too much to ask to dominate an 0-36 Akron team or 0-2 UCon team who got trounced by an FCS team. I think most people would be happy with some improvement from week to week but, it's looking like last year where we just hoped improvement would happen all year and it never came.

Have you ever had your expectations for a season drop off of a cliff in 2 weeks like this before?
When will we realize we cannot rush 4 and expect pressure?
You do realize that OSU won 76-0 and the predicted spread for our game will be +35 at home?

Why don't we make adjustments at the line line of scrimmage based on what the defense is showing? I'm talking about where they line up and then look to the sideline for the play call. Also, when other teams audible out of a play because we never disguise our blitz, why don't we counter with a defensive audible?

what is the progress of guys like Bryant, Burzynski, etc? The oline is struggling, what are you doing to fix?

Why doesn't funchess get more looks?

Why isn't Green or Smith getting a couple of carries, particularly early in game?

How can you get Gallon more involved in the game?

Do we practice special teams in practice?

Talk about the number of penalties and turnovers? Why is this getting worse?
