Sometimes you need a wake up call and hopefully this was it

This team should drop MANY spots with an embarassing performance like this.  Akron hasn't beaten an FBS team in years, hasn't won a road game in 27 tries, and took us to the wire.  Word on the street is that the team was partying last night, can anyone confirm?  This team needs to have their steak and lobster dinners taken away, their million dollar locker room, professional tutors, and all-expenses paid lifestyle, maybe they'll realize they aren't any better than AKRON.

I was wondering when the day would come when we would have to do something about Herm, and after being directed to this, I am fairly confident that this is the day. Laying out such accusations with no apparent thought given to the people that might see this thread or to the consequences of such a statement. No, just no. Bolivia and the block.

Look at the sheeple worshipping their gods.  The gods who just slipped past a team that would likely lose to the #1 high school team in the nation.  The worst team in FBS (likely) in the past half decade.  Sometimes the players need to NOT be treated like they are the shit... maybe they'll realize they're not.

Pheuw!

This had to be it. They are clearly a better team than this. Not too shocking to not play as well as last week (but yeesh)! Happened in week 3 not 12 ... A lot of silver lining for us optimists.

3-0.

If it recalibrates expectations, fine. It's still a win, bad as it was. Still 3-0. Michigan will take lots of heat from rival fans and media today. That's fine. They're fair game. At least they didn't lose, in the end.

I hate football sometimes.

Maybe it's karma for making fun of MSU's offense so much? yeah, I'd say so.

Far be it for me to apologize for a win, but I'm sorry that was an absolute train wreck effort wise and execution.

Are Braden and Bryant really that far behind Glasgow that they can't beat him out for a starting spot?

as one of those miserable Michigan humiliations. Could have set us back another two years. In the end, a huge win.

If people go after Borges when DG and the D line were so clearly big cuprits, then they're idiots. Call out Mattison and his predictability for a change.

All 3 phases of the game let today be what it was. Two punts of 21 and 22 yards, plus one nearly blocked, AND a missed field goal. An offense that turns the ball over 4 times, including a pick 6, on top of some pathetic run blocking and other stupidly short drives. A defense that played OK in the first half but wilted down the stretch. No pressure and a porous secondary. This near-loss is on the team as a whole. And I think it's as much, if not moreso, on the players than the coaches (though the coaches are clearly not blameless).

The worst play of the game was the pick 6. THAT was the play that defined how close Akron would be in the end. If that play doesn't happen, it's a comfy multiscore win that we still bitch about after. but it does not come within 1 play and one yard of a Horror part 2.

performance, but I am just stunned by the inability of Michigan to execute on offense or defense.

No pass rush. No move by the Oline, pretty brutal pass protection game long. And Gardner continues to think he's invincible when he needs to take what is available. I think this staff needs to redefine how they view the effort out there.

Michigan got beat by more big plays in this game than it allowed all of last year. Incredible. To be saved by an all out blitz on video replay of a near TD to Akron is unbelievable.

I give Michigan credit only for saving itself total embarassment. The world will scorn this team from now on.

I will be deleting this game from the DVR and not watching it again.  It didn't happen Michigan I feel bad laughing at wins from state and nebraska.  Schadenfreud for them this week.

Also, can a brother get a stop defense?  Please? No, ok.  This defense is a long way from a being great.  Thank God for time expiring.

That's fair.  I'm just impatient.  I want to see Michigan having the number 1 defense in the nation now.  Under mattison they do a good job with scoring defense, but like most of us, I would love to see more 3 and outs.  This week I couldn't really blame the quality of the opponent.  So i'm a little frustrated.
