Mid Afternoon Games Thread

SDSU @ OSU is the big game here. Oregon is currently in the first quarter at Virginia, as is Buffalo at Baylor. South Carolina v. Georgia kicks off at 4:30.

Miller is currently being attended to on the field, still early in the first quarter, 0-0 with OSU inside the red zone after a punt.

As much as I hate to admit it, Braxton Miller is like a damn cyborg. He was essentially left for dead after Purdue last year, then came back the next week like nothing ever happened. I honestly thought he was done for the year after that hit.

Depends on the degree if tear but he could be out for as little as 1-2 weeks or for the season if its a complete tear.

I have PSTD from the pre-snap clapping. NO SHERIDAN! NOOOOOO!!!

In other news, MSU's offense has pulled ahead 14-7 over their defense and into a tie for the season. STEP IT UP BULLOUGH!

To be fair, when they scheduled this game Hoke was still coaching there and they were looking good.  Also, considering the fact that they almost blow it against a cupcake every year I wouldn't risk scheduling tougher OOC competition if I were them.

I don't really blame them for the schedule. They've played Texas and USC in home and home series recently. They can't help it that Cal has gone from okay to bad in the 8 or so years since the game is scheduled.

I just checked our 2015 schedule. Utah and Oregon State out of conference, which is pretty good, but we're going to Utah on a Thursday?!? for no good reason. I think that's our first Thursday game.

Really? Utah and Oregon State are okay programs. They aren't sexy, but the combo is probably better than Notre Dame and Connecticut.

I'm more appalled by our conference schedule in 2015:

Maryland

Northwestern

MSU

Minnesota

Rutgers

Indiana

Penn State

Ohio State

There are maybe two teams in that group that will finish the season ranked, including Ohio State. Either way, on paper that's an 11-1 or 12-0 Michigan team.
