A good friend came up with this one.  I think he found someone to print it up, in which case it should appear wandering around pregame.

"Clever" and "classy" are subjective terms upon which people seldom agree.  One person's "class" is another person's "crass."   As for "clever," anyone telling a joke will get some people to laugh and some to criticize them for "trying to be funny."

Rather than project my standards onto others' humor, I think I will just laugh a lot.  It's better that way.

Did everybody sleep in?  I mean it looks pretty dense I suppose but it doesn't look like THAT many people are there; it very well could be a deception thing, who knows.  But yeah, I hope to see some better signs than I've seen thus far (a whole 2 minutes).

The Washington St. flag has been to every Gameday for the last, oh I forget, 10/12 years or something ridiculous like that.  I think it is NOT the same people and that it gets sent to people in the region to bring it (or maybe a different WSU flag over the years, but the same flag nonetheless).  Anyway, not the best answer but you kind of get the point.  As far as other teams flags, who knows.  Maybe some others have a bit of traditition themselves but the Wazzu flag is a pretty cool story.

They said that when Gameday is coming to a town/region that the Washington State Alumni Association Chapter in that area will email out to all the AA members in that area and they'll field volunteers and the flags get sent to them. So the people holding the Wazzu Flags in A2 today are probably Washington State alums from Michigan or Northern Ohio

Sorry, I forgot you youngsters need constant affirmation.  Let me try again

That was a nice effort and you appeared to spell the words correctly, little millenial sign maker.  Here's a participation ribbon, you can put it in the box with your others.  Yes, I'll wait while you show your mother...

But maybe next time, you can 1) be a little more creative, 2) not connect an already loosely connected "Irish" university to a real famine that took place forever ago.
