So we have Lloyd Brady and Rapture Guy.  I think we need to grace the guy Lloyd Brady is with in that photo with an MGoName.  He's always in the front row, great tv camera / jumbo tron presence and it seems like hes going on his 5th - 6th year in the spotlight.

Thoughts?

I think Wilson did fine. Safety takes time and he showed an imposing style of play that I feel works well with this defense. Reminds me of Jamar Adams. He made aggressive plays against both the run and the pass. I feel like the overall disposition of the secondary is great. If we can get constant pressure from our front four, this group could make some noise this year for real.

When a DB makes a mistake everyone in the peanut gallery notices.  When a LB makes an error or a lineman makes an error there is 1-2 more layers of defense to cover it up and you say "oh darn a 11 yard gain, horrible outside contain!!, damnit LB or D-lineman" rather than "oh darn a TD or 40 yard gain, damnit you DB who can't cover anyone and should not have a scholarship".  The DBs are in a no win situation as every mistake is obvious to the casual fan.  He did fine, the competition sucked, lets move on to a real team and assess.  Personally I thought Countess had the rougher game as they seemed to target him early in the game when they had their "horses" in.  Every team is going to have some weaknesses, if the worst for us is right defensive end and one safety, live with it and move on - the sum of this defense will always be greater than the individual parts due to our coaches... we can see that the past 2 years with Coach Swag.

Thought he looked decent in run support a few times, which is a good sign since he was  supposedly not very physical.  Hard to know with the pass defense since he was out there with Furman.  If he had Gordon next to him, he might have gotten some instruction on the field from someone with experience similar to Kovacs last year getting everyone set.

I really like the photo of Taylor Lewan (probably) pre-game looking off into the distance.  That's featured in the post above.

Also really like the shot of the offensive line and Gardner (here).

Very nice photos!
