I have not been to Vedauwoo, but I have passed through Laramie, although it's been a number of years and I honestly do not remember much. I just did a little research on Vedauwoo and it looks like fun. If my travels take me back to that area it looks like a good place to add to the list. Thanks!

You'd think maybe there must have been some lucky bounces but none of it's been against the run of play at all.
Northern had a back run for 199,outgained State by 50 yards, had five sacks to State's zero and won the game despite losing the TO battle 2-0.
Eastern Washington outgained OSU by 100 yards, Towson did the same to UConn. NDSU's QB didn't throw an incompletion in the second half. McNeese got some turnovers but they also outgained their FBS opponent by 60.
I don't have stats on the Eastern Illinois game but they're now up by three scores so we'll assume that's not a fluke either.

Michigan and NW for the divison. Nebraska's defense looks awful, not suprising considering it wasn't a good defense last year, and lost several key players.
Like Michigan's chances even more after seeing the rest of the conference.

Dats some bullshit there. 3 Neb players leveled the receiver before the ball was even halfway there. No PI
August 31st, 2013 at 11:40 PM ^
It's nice to see the officials still like to help Nebraska out. They basically handed them the division title last year.
August 31st, 2013 at 11:35 PM ^
You had your team run out the clock at halftime with 3 timesouts at the 50...you are a DUMBASS.

If I'm Bo (and I'm so glad I'm not), I am making those D-linemen run at 5 am all next week. They were just standing around on that last play.

nebraska is going to need a hell of a lot more than refs to help them at The Big House in November. I think Michigan is going to beat them like they did in 2011- but even worse.
nebraska had somewhat of a defense in 2011. They just gave up 34 points to wyoming.

In all fairness (and this doesn't mean much), Dave Christensen was the offensive coordinator for Gary Pinkel at Mizzou for a long time. He knows how to move the ball, and I knew that Wyoming was going to easily beat the spread tonight. I never expected a 3 point game, but Wyoming isn't an absolute nothing, and you mix that with a bit of hate (Wyoming folk do not like the state of Nebraska), and you have a 14 point decifit at best. The rest is on Nebraska. Clearly, things look about as good as they can after one week for Michigan in the matchup against Nebraska.

measuring stick. Northwestern defense is at least mediocre though, not any better than that though. Their running game is the only above average part of their team, though it is good enough to have your hands full defensively.

Well it is safe to say the era of parity is here in CFB. While I hate to mention the game that shall not be mentioned here, in a way that event sort of kicked it off. Now FCS teams are pulling off upsets in many places. McNeese State smashed Sparty's next opponent by the largest margin (they believe) every by a FCS team over a non FCS. And at least 4 (5?) other such upsets this weekend. Hell, Youngstown State might beat MSU in 2 weeks to add to it :P.
Unrelated re: Nebraska - the defense lost 7 starters over a fraud defense last year, I dont know if they play Indiana but that game would be 65-60 ...without OTs. UM and OSU are clearly the only 2 balanced teams in the conf - some of these teams have a lot of offense and some the defense but almost no one has any sort of balance. And yes the Big 10 really sucks...again.

Boise State is going down to Washington. This is good - Boise is actually #3 all-time in winning percentage, if you can believe that. They're getting too close to us in those rankings.

is that lopsided, but I expected Washington to win that game. Boise lost most of their playmakers on defense, and Washington has started to amass some good talent.

defense is still mediocre at best. NW 's run defense is ok, but their pass defense was awful last year, and doesn't look any better tonight. Though, I guess OSU's defense wasn't impressive either, giving up 20 in their game. Still the favorites in the Big Ten at this point would clearly be Michigan and OSU. Every other team has weak link on one side of the ball.

as Michigan wins theirs, and it happens to take place in California. Think it is pretty inevitable that Michigan and OSU will most likely be the only great teams in the Big Ten moving forward, while the rest of the conference is stuck in mediocrity or worse. Hurts strength of schedule, but that seems to be the reality.
