BTN2Go Question

Submitted by 93Grad on

Does anyone know if games broadcast on the BTN are available on BTN2go after the game is completed or are they only available online during the live broadcast?

Thanks in advance

I just looked into it a few days ago and it says you can watch games live that are airing on the BTN if you have a participating cable/satellite company.

I'm going to my brother's this weekend, and he doesn't have cable. I plan on logging in on my computer with my DirecTV account to stream the msu game live on Friday night.

If you don't have cable it's not going to be an alternative, unless you can borrow a friend's directv or Comcast login. Again I haven't tried it yet, I just researched it last week and that's my understanding of how it should work.

Yeah, the key is that you (or whoever's login you use) has to have BTN in your cable or satellite TV package. If you don't, then it's useless.

Regarding live streaming, as long as you have the channel in your cable/satellite package, you should be able to stream any game airing on BTN:

On football Saturdays when BTN airs more than one game at a time, will I be able to pick which game I want to see on BTN2Go?
Yes, every BTN telecast will be available on BTN2Go. If BTN is televising three games simultaneously, but your TV provider is only carrying two, you will be able to find the third game on BTN2Go. Additionally, when the network airs back-to-back games, if the first game runs long and overlaps with the second game, fans will be able to watch the second game on BTN2Go. BTN will continue its television coverage of the first game and join the second game in progress.

As far as I recall, any game which has aired is typically available within minutes after it is finished and I believe BTN stores them for two weeks or so, so even if you couldn't get to a game for a few days, you'll still be able to find it.

One minor thing - if you're like me and have Comcast and downloaded BTN2Go a while ago in anticipation of the day that it would work with Comcast, you'll need to first update the app on your tablet or phone.
