Its Homecoming Week!

Submitted by James Burrill Angell on
In honor of Homecoming and the flock of alums who will come back to Ann Arbor from points all over the country, I ask you this, particularly those outside of Southeastern Michigan. NOT COUNTING THE FOOTBALL GAME AND RELATED ACTIVITIES what is on your "must do" list while you're in Ann Arbor for the weekend? Zingermans? Ashley's? Dominicks? Moes? Walk through the Diag?

I'm coming up and bring my g/f(she's a buckeye fan) and I cant wait. She's really pumped about the trip too but we have to find a place after the game to go watch the buckeye game. The only thing I ever do is just hit up the golf course.

I wanna go to Rick's and breathe in that intoxicating slurry of beer, vomit and smelly ass. See some horribly wierd hippie dude shitting in the sink. Naw, not really. Nowadays we catch up with old friends, cook great food and drink some, and enjoy the hell out of the day. Once in a while we'll go downtown for dinner, but I see enough of A2 around the stadium to get my fix.

You gotta bring your girlfriend to Stucchis. Awesome gelato, on S. State St. Then take a walk through the Diag and Law Quad. And if you're adventurous, hit up the stacks in the Grad Lib to see if you can finagle a private study room, for, um...studying (EACHOTHER!). So I'm a dork, but I'm a stacks club dork.

The Arb, your favorite restaurants when you were in A2 (or just something that sounds fun via the A2-Guide; example: Ethiopian), maybe a walk around campus, and (if this doesn't count as a football-related activity) maybe check out a different team playing during the week.
