I am dumbfounded whenever a dunbass like Qotho makes a blanket generalization; if DT did bad things, let him suffer the consequences. But there are plenty of kids from questionable/at-risk environments who have accounted well as student-athletes and Michigan Men.

people here are very politically correct and have ultra thin skins.  They often can't handle the truth and reality.  Since they can't refute the message (that crime is much more common in certain neighborhoods and that somebody from a certain area is much more likely to be involved in certain criminal activities), so they shoot the messenger.

I would think that, because the kid is from a bad area, it's fair to say its not a surprise that something like this would happen eventually. I would say that most people from really bad areas contribute to said badness or are, at the very least, influenced by it, making the result 'not a surprise'. Whereas becoming a Michigan man and a great student athlete, while not rare, could be considered more of a surprise.

In Chicago he's a drug dealer, but in Washington state he's just some guy selling pot without a license.

Resisting arrest and hitting a cop is the way bigger issue.  That was just an incredibly stupid thing to do -- assuming it's true.

HS teammate and his dad worked across the street from me...doesn't surprise me sadly. Teammate said at the time, few years ago he was "the only brother in the hood with a bentley". Ex Gf destroyed his wallet with a failed business, things were not good for the guy. I think he said he did not get a degree either. Sucks but I saw this coming. I loved him and the A trains bear playoff run. Hoping Brandon Minor sees and learns from this, he had a drug charge years ago, both out of Richmond. Don't worry at all about Derrick Green, he has a tight family network, he would rather be at church then a party thank god.

The last three #1s have been an embarrassment.

Butterfield just wasn't good and transferred to a 1-AA. Terrell gets busted for drugs (despite what you may believe, pot is illegal and anyone who takes that risk...why?) and assaults an officer and Braylon with his big mouth and DUI.

That number belongs to A.C.
