Denard autographed cleats, Hoke auto M Flag and more up for auction for UofM Scholarships

Submitted by James Burrill Angell on

For those of you interested in the autographed Michigan memorabilia thing, the fourth edition of the MGoAuction is going to start up this fall. As mentioned in the title the alums that run this do it to fund a series of scholarships for Michigan undergrads and the group of about thirty or so who work on it include a couple of former Michigan football players.

One thing to remember is that a majority of what you bid is a tax deductible gift to the University. Accordingly, lets say you win a signed minihelmet for $200, only the value of the unsigned item is not tax deductible. Thus you'll get a gift letter from the University for about $175 (don't forget that all donations to the University count towards your athletic department priority points).

Here's the link to the main auction site: http://www.biddingforgood.com/auction/AuctionHome.action?auctionId=199308152

This year they're also doing a "Buy Now" T-Shirt Sale where $15 of the $25 cost is tax deductible LINK: http://www.biddingforgood.com/auction/item/Browse.action?categoryId=199752194&auctionId=199308152

Finally, as mentioned, they've already posted some interesting stuff, in particular, these

Denard Robinson autographed cleats- Get Shoelace's shoelaces and the rest of the shoe too!

yep, autographed Denard cleats, and this one

Brady Hoke autographed 3 ft x 5 ft Michigan Flag

Thats a 3ft x 5ft flag signed by Coach Hoke.

Again, all for a good cause so if you want to add to the Man Cave/personal collection or are in the market for a gift for someone or even early Christmas shopping, you get the item and the tax deduction on top of it.

I and a couple of other posters on the board will update you all in October. Ultimately we'll probably get a total of 250 items to go up for grabs.

Thanks for the 30 seconds of your attention and Go Blue.

So be it if they do. Its not for everyone. Believe me, all of the people involved in this look at each other from time to time and wonder what the heck we're doing . That said, those little smudges of ink have created four scholarships at Michigan over three funds and we expect two more to come from this year's auction. Whatever works right.

Auctions can be very beneficial to all organizations. Aside form low tax fees, a low cost items are on sale just like those autograph auctions of denard. Car enthusiast also anticipate for automobile auctions. Sure, they're excellent automobiles that are affordable at auction, but by purchasing, are consumers giving police in legal arrears the thumbs up?
