One might think it was because every new season holds so much promise, and I'm an eternal optimist about Michigan's chances.
Or because that first game puts an end to the horrible 9-month drought (or longer) with no UM football.
But mainly, it's because that first game tends to have really hot weather, and the young women arrive in various states of glistening undress (people tell me, I always avert my eyes modestly). This one's a real cutie, idiotic comments on this thread notwithstanding.
Where the hell are my CMU tickets... been camping out by the mailbox for a week...
