OFAAT: Derrick Green In One GIF
@MGoShoe @AceAnbender @mgoblog Is that GIF entitled "Pyhhric Victories in Run Support"?
— Bry Mac (@Bry_Mac) August 5, 2013
26 days until a Central Michigan safety discovers exactly what a "pyrrhic victory in run support" means. Presumably, BiSB will regret not using spellcheck much sooner than that.
[EDIT: As pointed out in the comments, the poor soul being steamrolled is not some random high school freshman, but 2013 3.5-star Virginia signee Malcolm Cook. Cook is listed at 6'1" (measurement presumably taken before the above) and 194 pounds. Lawd.]
is hard.
hhard?
...the safety was heard to say: "If I am victorious in one more battle with Derrick Green, I shall be utterly ruined".
he would have said it in the original Greek: "ἂν ἔτι μίαν μάχην Derrick Green νικήσωμεν, ἀπολούμεθα παντελῶς."
FOR MOTHER RUSSIA!
[runs into machinegun fire]
That was me vs Dowagiac's Jamie Simpson in 2007..... all game long. Never had so many tackles in a win yet felt utterly defeated the next day. Ouch.
Kevin or Kelvin?
Sorry but who was the one making the tackle again?
He didn't shy away
but he really wasn't ready for the tackle either. Didn't squre his shoulders, didn't drive with the legs...now, that could all be because Green was there before he was ready, and since he is a 4* as was mentioned...I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. But he led with a weak attempt at a shoulder tackle. Not gonna bring a big guy like that down by going after the upper body. No siree....
...but his "I just got trucked-I'm Batman" concussion form is flawless.
This was actually a 4*-Safety in Malcolm Cook too. Makes it even more impressive.
Bet his coach, the next day in film review, made him an example of how it is ill-advised to try and tackle with your ear hole.
Took me a second to figure out what OFAAT was. I started thinking it was a our new recruiting motto, One Freak At A Time.
was just trying to get the charge call.
but his feet weren't set.
Its going to be fun watching him eating safeties for a few years.
the player just left of number 49 in white is doing his best tumbleweed impression...
Was this game against Fork Union Military Academy? They are usually a solid program.
ouch.
He's actually a 3-4 star committed to UVA.
because of having to wear those ugly uniforms. Wouldn't want him to lose that edge once he puts on the finest uniform in the land.
I'd like to see how those two dudes end up on the ground in the beginning of the clip. Are they just tackles gone wrong or did they get blown up by Green?
That is why you don't call a bubble screen.
