The greatest time of the year is almost upon us team and to prepare we shall drink! What's your drink('s) of choice for this fine Friday night? I was excited to find a bomber of Firestone Walker Double Jack at Binny's in Chicago and that's already been finished off. Now onto some Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald.

As I said in the Posbang thread, I am drinking a Wormtown Hopulence. About to finish and move onto the next one. Yesterday was IPA Day, but I'm letting that carry over into today. Who cares? Every day is IPA Day.

Had a Hookiebobb IPA from Crazy Mountain and finishing up the night on a Mad River Steelhead Extra Pale Ale. The night has gone downhill, but it happens when you're trying new beers.

Just finished a DRIPA. Had a nice nose and initial hop bite but the aftertaste left something to be desired.
Anyhow moving on to Kuhnhenn's Black IPA that they brewed especially for Ashley's. Review coming soon....

On the malt character that I expect from a black IPA but as it warms toward room temperature it's getting a more robust flavor. It is described as a session black IPA so I guess it's ok that it's a little lighter on flavor.

I don't think that's horrible. It still reads as roll tide. But technically, that I (J) is an issue. Not near the worst I have ever seen

My brother and I always wish each other to have a good vacation whenever our respective wife and kids are out of town without us. Its great to take time off work and leave Dodge but its also great when the family Ieaves Dodge while you don't. I'm not saying a week long thing, but a day or two of space and quiet and going into the bathroom undisturbed....now that's a piece of heaven. Enjoy my friend and know there are people out there who are envious.

I am currently drinking a local offering from Altitude Brewing. It's their Black IPA, and later on I'll probably have an Odell St. Lupulin Extra Pale Ale. Slainte!

@ Lollapalooza rocking my face off. I've seen quite the amount of Michigan attire, I've been impressed. Queens of the Stone Age just kicked A, now awaiting the one and only Nine Inch Nails. The drinking hasn't been top notch (Budweisers and many pulls of Captain Morgan/Crown Royal) but it's been a damn good Friday thus far. Go Blue.
